Hello,

I recently moved and in order to get my two pinball machines (Pinbot
and BOP) into the basement the backbox had to be removed from each of
the machines. They have been reattached and have some of the wiring
plugged back in. It would be very helpful if anyone happens to have
some hi-res pictures of how the harness is routed and lays in the
backbox and also ones that show where the connections plug into each of
the boards. Although the manuals cover the connections having some
pictures would sure help. I want to make sure everything is perfect
before even thinking about powering them back up.

If there are any pictures online please post the links or pictures can
be sent via e-mail.

Thanks!

Robert

pictures would probably be more confusing than the manuals - I know
you're probably kicking yourself for not labeling them on the way out,
but you probably didn't realize the backboxes needed removal until you
were right near the doorway?

Best is to match the colors on the harnesses to the connector #'s
according to the manuals. The cable harness will have a "memory" of
how it lays - once you get a couple connectors back in it should be
obvious where others go - hopefully also the key plugs are still in the
connectors.

Good luck..... also if any RGPer lives near you and can help?

I had to finish getting everything moved quickly out of the old house
and when it came to moving the pins I also had to do it while I had
help on hand to move them into the basement. Had I known ahead of time
I would have taken a camera full of digital pics for harness placement
and also marked all the connectors with their appropriate board
location. Other than this the move went really well. I'm kicking
myself now but I know that I will be able to get them back in operation
condition again.....

I do have the manuals for both pins and they color codes listed have
been an excellent reference so far. Also as you say, the harness does
have a "memory" which has helped route the cables. What would be
helpfull and might show up in some digital pictures would be how they
harness lays (which bundle is on top of each other) and also as a
sanity check to help visually verify the connections.

So far I have found a couple pictures at:

http://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?any=pinbot&searchtype=quick

The picture for the Pinbot has been helpful but the one for BOP is a
bit small and hard to make out. Maybe another BOP owner on the list
may have a better one.

Thanks for the post.

While I am working on getting these pins working again I might as well
post my wish list of parts for the Pinbot. I noticed that one of the
four displays needs to be replaced and also one of the legs is slightly
bent. Does anyone know where I can get an original replacement leg and
display (new or used) and what they might cost?

Thank You,

Robert
