Would be much appreciated. E-mail to 1oldairybarn at gmail dot com.

It's stuck after it resets the score reels. The motor runs constantly
and the drop target bank reset coils fire when the score motor pulses
1B. Can't figure this one out yet. Checked the 110V circuit relays and
contacts that it goes through. No luck yet.

Thanks......Dave

How about the Google result for "gottlieb startup sequence" and the
documentation there that applies to your game?

blown

Thanks Chad.

My fuses are good. Haven't checked fuseholders yet.

The "U" relay pulls in constantly to fire the drop target reset bank
coils.

Oops I meant to say thanks Chas.

That "U" relay is the control bank reset relay that's pulling in.

This happened to me a month ago after cinching the screws on the relay switches. It turned out to be the "O" relay.

phergottlieb - I'll heck the "O" relay - thanks.

Stuck on this step of the start-up sequence:

The "U" relay resets the reset bank through the score motor. It also
resets the bonus unit or drop target banks (if the game has these).

This is on line 15E of the schematic.

My bonus unit is resetting but my drop target bank is not.

I do know if I change the state of the SB2 relay it resets the bank and
the score motor stops running.

I've checked several contacts/switches/relays/conductors but I haven't
found it yet.

Thx.......Dave

Hi Dave, does your game have the dreaded SB armature switch? It would kind of sit "out" on the main bank of relays. You may want to check that. Also (I am sure you know this anyway) you will want to look for any broken solders at the switches. That has had me pull my hair out on my Gottlieb em games.

Regards,
Dan

Problem solved!!!!!

Thanks to Lee W. for snapping a pic of that start-up sequence and
e-mailing it to me.

There were 3 switches that were open on position 3C of the score motor
that were not doing anything. The metal score motor tab had got pushed
down and was stuck - it is supposed to close the N/O switches when the
score motor makes a revolution to reset different functions. I just
pushed it up into place and now all is good.

I also found out that card that Gottlieb had attached to the side of the
cabinet describing what each switch on the score motor does is very
helpful!

Played through a whole game and went to game over. Just have to work on
some minor (hopefully) scoring/feature issues.

Hey Dave, just curious, what are your scoring issues? Just wondering if they're related to mine.

Scoring issues on my tens and hundreds score reels on player 1 only -
they both roll over at the same time. Started working on that issue -
re-adjusting the score reels when my playfield lights went out. Now,
I'm tracking that issue down 1st.

I've got scoring issues with the thousand, and ten thousand reels
sticking at the 9 position. Gotta try tweeking them more.

Yeah, my issue is the 10,000 reel sometimes skips 1-20k on the bonus,
or very rarely won't count the bonus. At first I thought it was a
player 1 issue, but then it happened on player 2. Haven't got around
to troubleshooting it yet.
