About one month ago, I posted a note about my successful reproduction
of the WPC-DCS system using a Xilinx FPGA. Since then, I have been
working on the more difficult task of doing the same with the WPC-95 A/
V board. As you all know, this board uses an ASIC, and its complexity
makes the job of reverse engineering it more difficult. I am pleased
to announce that this effort has been successful.

Details here:

If there is demand in the future, I may be making a unified WPC-DCS
and 95 board available in cooperation with Jim Knight. This would
allow use in any DCS machine, and you would load the ROM content with
a cable. No burning of ROMs needed.

Impressive! Reminds me of when I reverse engineered the switch matrix,
though that's not nearly as difficult.

Good work!

Hey Ed - Figuring out how to get a man to Mars and back isn't enough

I think the best replacement would be to install a chime box instead!
