Curious,

What is the top list of newer Stern pins that you totally regret
buying from Stern and why?

Define "newer".

For me, my first NIB purchase of a Stern NASCAR was the most
regretable.
The only reason it was regretable was due to purchasing the game from a
distributor who marked it up significantly. I paid $4,600 for a game I
later found out I could have purchased for about $3,200 had I known
about the other resources available for NIB Sterns.

I've owned 3, LOTR, TRON LE and Avatar and really can't say I regret any
of them. Always games you like better or worse over time, but 'regret'
is really a non applicable term unless you bought it for the wrong
reasons in the first place and those reasons were regrettable.

I only regret the ones I've sold. Wish I still had some of them. (T3,
RBION).

Currently have Tron:LE, LOTR, FG, TSPP, Spidey, POTC, CSI, Batman, IJ4,
AP.

Some of those are among my favorites of all time. Heck, Tron is amazing.
The ones I'm not wild about (CSI, AP), are massive hits at my parties,
and my wife loves those...so I certainly don't regret their purchase.
They aren't awful to play, and they bring joy to others, so who cares?

So...no regrets. Stern has put out some really great games.

Buying NIB is over all a waste of money. You lose money the second you open the box. And buying a game you've never seen or played is stupid, IMHO.

I own one Stern, a Family Guy. Didn't buy it new, but it's close, but I paid about have what you'd pay just to have privilege of opening the box.

It's one of Sterns few good newer games. Most of them are just like a broken record.

I've been playing a lot of BBB lately (duh), and it's better than anything Stern has aver made.

None, because I don't buy blindly like many on here do. Play it a lot
first before buying. Don't buy into the hype. Only NIB newer stern I
own is LOTR. And there is a reason for that.

Someone had to buy it new or it still would be sitting at Stern. Everything
you buy new loses value as soon as you open it, not just pinballs.

My first NIB Stern was 9 years ago. I still have it. Since then I
have purchased 7 more for my personal collection. I still have all
them as well, except for the LOTR that I sold to buy a LOTR LE. If
you aren't buying a NIB machine to keep you are more often than not
bleeding money. Luckily I have made some good NIB choices over the
years (IMHO) so I have never felt the urge to purge.

Huh. You paid almost NIB price for a used game but think people who
buy NIB are categorically "stupid". Just kinda sounds curious when
you string it altogether. People buy NIB or used for different and
very valid reasons. Why call anyone stupid? Live and let live, I
say. FGY Is a great game.

This is easy.. Avatar.

Had high expectations, and after about a week I was bored of the
game. Then they announced they were putting out a LE version (this
was the first time they did this, and they did not tell the "pro"
owners they were doing this so I didn't have the option). Pissed me
off pretty bad. But in the end I was glad I didn't put the money out
on an LE as I lost about a grand on my Pro when I sold it.

So much potential with this title, I still ask myself WTF? when I
think about what stern did to Avatar :)

I understand why some don't like IJ4....but I enjoy it quite a bit, and
so do any guests that play it.

It's got a great sound and vid package, and the Ark is pretty sweet. I
am a huge fan of the movies, so obviously it gets a bump from me just
out of a pure nostalgic reaction. (Obviously...your mileage may vary). I
enjoy starting the specific scenes, and appreciate the real movie clips
and dialogue.

The 8-ball multiball is a big hit, and really brings a "wow" factor to
people who have never played it. At most of my parties, IJ4 will get
played more than the "heavy hitters" in my collection, like LoTR, MM,
CV, ToM, TZ, MB, etc etc etc.

Most people that come over have never played it (since not many seem to
have it), and they all come away saying the same thing: "RGP totally
rips this game...but I like it! What's up with all the hate??"

Again, you are certainly allowed to dislike the game. I'm not going to
pretend that just because I like it, then everyone should. (Conversely,
those that hate it shouldn't demand that all others should hate it also.
That's just not how pinball works).

People who buy NIB are generally not worried about resale value....and
if the goal is to buy a game to keep and enjoy, the concept of "losing
money" is irrelevant.

As for the topic, I have no regrets. I've sold many of my Sterns
(NIB, HUO, routed) - but I enjoyed playing them a lot, and never sold
them due to hating them. I'd play them all again on location or at a
friend's house - I just wanted something new in the lineup.

I'd only regret buying a Stern if it was 24 or IJ4 ;)

You must have seriously overpaid for you FG if its worth less now than
when it was new. The value of my NIB FG, SM, POTC, LOTR and TRON LE
is all above what I paid for them new. You better find a new dealer

I regretted buying BDK. The game offers little beyond the crane toy.
The Joker and teeter totter mechanisms added nothing to the gameplay,
and POTD2 was not as well implemented as the original in LOTR.

It's the only machine bought nib I went on to sell!

Based on what? The prices people try and ask for on here? Because
those are fishing prices. Very rarely will you actually sell a game for
more or the same as the NIB price was. Unless you happen to own one of
the 3 games that actually went up since the NIB prices.

Monopoly. I was really excited to get the game and it was too easy, repetitive, and it could have been so much more. As with all modern games it comes down to the software. Oh and the sound, which wasn't very good on Monotony.

I have purchased other Stern games NIB: TSPP, LOTR and IM. Ended up selling LOTR as I didn't like it after all was said and done. I love my SM and RBION too, but they were purchased used.

Next NIB game: The Wizard of Oz! It will look nice next to my NIB BBB ;-)

I don't think I have any regret buying a single pinball machine new
Stern or not. I lose some and win some but always put in a bunch of
great plays since. I do regret buying cars, dinner, gym memberships,
computers, cameras, but pinball machines and season passes to ski,
nope.

My Tron LE obviously went way over the $5300 it cost me. SM was my next
highest paid NIB at $4100....no loser there either. POTC, FG, and LOTR
were all well under $4000 new...no loss there either.
All I'm saying is that you cannot make a blanket statement that you
ALWAYS lose money on a NIB game. If you buy the right games and keep
them looking like the day they came out of the box the opposite is true.
And I'm not talking about not playing them...I'm talking about
maintaining them and adding protectors wherever possible.

I've bought a few NIB pins and can't say I really regret anything. I am
in the camp that says you shouldn't be buying pins as investments or
expecting to make all your money back when you sell it, especially when
you buy new.

I bought all of my current pins to play and enjoy, and all of them have
provided me and others entertainment so they have served their purpose.
I also don't fall into the group of players that are really good. This
probably has something to do with it, as there is still a lot for me to
see and do with my current games.

I think a lot of us in the WoF camp (myself included) were willing to
roll the dice on a NIB shipped to our doors for 2600. ZERO regrets on
that, unfinished software and all. If the software actually got
finished, I would be looking very seriously for another one, it is a
great game that is very different then a lot of the newer stuff being
made.

Try selling them once. LOTR and Tron might be higher, people ask for
more on the others, but good luck getting good money for a POTC or FG.
SM maybe, but there are a ton of them out there.

That's because those of us who gave WoF a fair chance do not regret it
at all. The ones that usually whine about Wheel are the ones that never
got to know it. I did recently move mine on to a friend, but enjoyed it
greatly for the 3+ years I had it. It was just time for a change, but
thankfully it's somewhere I can still go play it! :)

Who gets Spider nevus?
Spider nevus can occur at any age and is very common in children. They also occurs frequently during and after a pregnancy. Anyone can get "spiders" without any special reason.
Treatment of Spider nevus
It is considered a highly effective, safe and simple treatment. The laser sends a strong laser light into the skin lesion. The laser light removes the abnormal blood vessels. Usually keeps it with a treatment. Rarely need two treatments. The treatment itself takes only a few seconds.

You will get a bruise in the skin after laser treatment. Bruise fades gradually over 1-2 weeks. Swelling a few days' time is common. In rare cases, one can get a small scar. This is not common. More often we see that it can be increased pigmentation in the treated area. This evens out, as a rule, out of time.
