I have a Williams Defender pinball that has two main problems.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to a possible fix?
1)When the game is started or after the ball goes into the out hole,
the two sets of knock down targets do not get fully reset.
If I wait 15 seconds without doing anything the targets will fully reset.
2) When three balls are captured in the lock-up trough, the balls are correctly released individually by the solenoid kicker.
The problem is when a ball is in the lock-up trough it is not released when the ball in play goes into the out hole. The solenoid makes the kicker move about 1/8 inch and the ball remains in the lock-up trough. If a ball is in the lock-up trough at the end of the game it remains there and when a new game is started the solenoid moves the kicker 1/8 inch and the ball remains in the lock-up trough.

Hi cris I have a defender pin and will try to help you. There aren't many still around, only made 369 of them. The drop targets are supposed to do that. They randomly reset as the game progresses. If you hit 15 targets you progress 1 wave. On the kicker question the mech may be bad. Any questions call my cell at 573-701-5690. Ed blair.

Got things figured out thanks to Ed !
Still working on the lock when starting a new game- thinking it is a switch issue.
Thanks again Ed !

No problem. I always try to help out people when I can. I've gotten lots of help myself on here and other places like pinside and klov. If you have any more questions just ask. Ed
