Have a whirlwind project handed to me have to issues I'm dealing with.

Issue 1.
Special solenoids not working, all solenoids are getting power, when
game turns on both slings lock up pop bumpers also that are special
solenoids do nothing. Someone previously did board work on Q69 U45 and
the resistors. The only way to get to slings unlocked is to pull the
connectors on the auxiliary power board. I checked resistors tip102
and pre drive and things seem ok. Is this a chip issue? Wiring issue
or short? What else should I try.

Issue 2.
Flippers do not work. All flippers get power and will fire when
grounded by lug, but flipper buttons will not register in switch
levels even after cleaning, could this be wiring issue? Or problem
with K1 relay? I would think the switches would register even if the
flippers do not work.

Could these two problems be related on the board - seems odd to me,
not a system 11 expert, any help or direction would be great

Ken,

Forgive me for being uneducated right now but I don't have my game
with me nor the manual however I had a similar problem with my ww
where the slings were locked and so were the flashers
I too could unplug the aux board and it would stop. However, I found
the problem in the board above the CPU. Forgive me for not knowing the
name of the board ( in bed no manual) but its right above the CPU. If
you look at the manual, the spec sol flow trough that board. Had some
bad components there. I replace and the problem was gone. Again
forgive me for not having the right name but I had the same problem
and it wasn't the aux power board. It was this other board.

Yes your issues are related. You've got a problem with the NOT
Blanking going to the Special Solenoid circuit which also controls the
flipper enable relay. This can be a tricky one to troubleshoot, and
with previous board work in the area, damaged traces/through-holes are
suspect. It's probably best to get the board to your favorite repair
person for proper diagnosis and repair.
