Since HH are already available on ballsofsteel why don't you upload BH
there so everybody can get them ?

This strikes me as a rather gutsy move. Considering how the Gottlieb
lawyers go after any copyright enfringments (manual scans, etc) I would
be nervous. Especially since you are selling these.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it (although I would put them out
on BallsOfSteel)...

Just my 2 cents...

The main reason I'm doing this is to get an indication as to how many poeple
are actually interested in gottlieb artwork. Not many. I've had one
enquiry.

I'm basically selling my labour and associated costs to get all these scans
in the first place. The artwork comes free for other people to use. I was
dissapointed that there wasn't any attempt from Gottlieb to help supply
artwork for reproductions, their website hasn't been updated, blah blah
blah. However they were helpful in allowing reproductions to take place and
I appreciate there efforts in the money department. Just the support that
lacks.

I've had one enquiry. This indicates to me that the demand to reproduce
gottlieb artwork is not as high as anticipated and that I'd be better off
spending more time with my family and playing the pinball machines instead
of spending a lot of money and time going around in circles.

I've had a go and moderately succeeded in reproducing the HH backglass. I'm
more interested in getting my road registerable CR500 and hitting the dunes.

Chris, I think you've raised a good point and I will take your advice and
not make these available any more.

Is it illegal to give an image to Balls of Steel?

All the best.

I hope you don't think I was trying to put you down, or to say they
weren't worth purchasing. I'm also no where near being a lawyer so any
"legal" opinion is barely even an opinion (let alone legal).

As far as giving to BallsOfSteel; the only thing even like this that I
have seen 1st hand is with software piracy. Typically if you copy and
use a piece of software, they typically won't go after you If you copy
and sell/attempt to sell a piece of software they are more likely to go
after you. If I own a web site and Joe gives me a piece of software to
post for free public consumption and I do, typically even though they may
have a case against Joe, I would be the one they would go after.

But like I said I'm just a programmer... I don't event come close to
knowing the law. For all I know scanning and distributing images from
plastics is perfectly legal. I just know that recently I've seen at
least 2 articles (on the web) of lawyers telling people to take Gottleib
content off of their site (scans of manuals... not plastic scans)

Thanks and sorry if I offended.

Thanks for that.

I think you gave me a little bit of reality on what the outcome may be if I
continued to sell the images.
