IJ right flipper reboot after changing flipper assemblies

Today I attempted to replace the flipper assemblies on my IJ. The
coils weren't the factory ones and they seemed like they were getting
weaker over time, so I figured I would just replace everything.

When I took the flipper assemblies out, I didn't realize the lugs were
on the opposite sides of coils that the newly assembled ones. So when
I put the left coil back together, I soldered the wires, just as I had
taken apart.

I attempted to test it and the left flipper was dead.

So after realizing the assemblies were backwards, I switched lugs 1
and 3, retried and still dead. I then saw F902 was blown. After
replacing, the left flipper was back in business.

So then I started working on the right flipper. After getting it all
assembled, I attempted to try it out.
When pressing the right flipper the machine now reboots. So I looked
again, and somehow I reverse lugs 2 and 3. I'm so aggravated because I
was trying to be so careful.

So then I looked on the forums and noticed talk about the coil diodes.
I replaced the diodes, put back together, and same thing, every time I
press the right flipper, it reboots.

I noticed some posts hinted to coil diodes on the driver board? Is
there a chance I damaged the Fliptronics board when I reversed lugs 2
and 3?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Remove the fliptronics board
Test all the transistors
Replace the diodes on the coils, and wire the coils properly
Replace any bad transistors on the fliptronics board and reinstall.

Should solve the problem, for once and for all!

John, thank you very much. I will take the Fliptronics board out and
go through all the transistors.

jpscranton, not much I can say. I only get an hour or two a week with
family life and I was rushing. If the lugs would have been on the same
side as the ones I took out, I probably wouldn't have messed it up. No
matter what, I'm learning...

Just a quick update on this. Everything is all working again!

Took out the fliptronics board out and went through it. All the diodes
and transistors were fine.
Nothing shorted, so I didn't blow out the board!

Went through the flipper coils one more time, and retested the diodes.
One diode was bad. I put a new one in, and all good again.

Now the flippers are a little too strong :) The ball sometimes comes
out of the upper left wireform.

Thanks again for the advice John!
