(D) All of the above. End of topic.
Thanks for your insight.
I have only purchased my pins either through Mrpinball classifieds
with plenty of buyer-seller communication, through folks known on rgp,
or local if applicable. Ebay bids are usually all over the place.
Like Chalk up said, depends on sellers competence. Too many scammers
these days; if they get smart, we may be in trouble! ;p

One is how people in here feel that specific day. I remember years ago,
people would argue that eBay was NOT a method of determining the value of a
machine. That has changed over the course of time... Hypocricy runs
rampant. A lot of those same people swear by eBay for pricing these days.
Who knows why they changed that way... Maybe eBay offered them free
blowjobs or something... :)
Another factor is the demographics. For example, a machine in CA may fetch
higher than a machine in Bumblefuck, PA. What's the median income and how
bad is the unemployment?
Let's also factor in the title and what people are feeling at one time or
another. I remember years ago, most in here said that Rollergames was Steve
Richie's WORST pin ever and was an abomination. A couple years later, they
are praising it. Again, the hypocrisy factor needs to be analyzed or
somewhere a free blowjob was added in. :)
Bottom line: eBay is NOT a good factor to determine pin prices. You can
get two doctors who want a MM and bid-battle each other, driving the price
to a ridiculous $20,000. Not to mention, how accurate is the description
and how good are the pics? That can factor in a BIG difference.
Lots of factors....
