Thanks in advance,
Neil
I have avoided this title because of this issue, a lot of parts can be
made or subbed but this one is a PIA.
I feel bad for the guys that bought the repops and had them turn red,
has anyone been refunded on these?
Eric
Fat Chance on a Refund Eric,,, BUT, there are still things in the
works using LED screens
that will take a little more time for testing & so on .
I do not regret buying this game no matter what because I know that
problem will get fixed right yet, We DO have a bunch of really smart
guy's on this group, So it's just a matter if time & not a matter of
when .

CFTBL would be a great game if they had a picture of Trudeau's rear
end down there. The holo is eye candy, and while it is an interesting
"feature" of the game, it's hardly the dominant reason why the game is
popular. If you're a mega-collector and all of your games have to be
perfect... sure, I could see someone avoiding the title for this
reason, but if you're any length of a player, the holo is the absolute
last thing you want to be looking at during multiball. The only time
I make a point of watching it is during the attract mode when I happen
to be walking by.
No, it has nothing to do with game play and they will be remade at
some point soon.
Having said that, it's looks prettier now, but I don't think I enjoyed
the game any less when it had the old faded and nasty hologram. Just a
fun game with a great theme!

If you get it reasonable priced an do not care about that feature of

Cal50,
Then I guess you might want to stay away from any WPC-95 game .
Try Finding a Display panel for one of those .

Would not be a concern at all.
Would like to own one one day, crap or no hologram or perfect one.
Yeah, I'd buy a new one if it were reasonably priced and I thought it
had a good chance of survival. I am, however, nervous about that concept
after the previous run having the problem with turning red.
The hologram, or lack of a hologram, doesn't make the game play or not
play. It's a neat feature, but I enjoy CFTBL, and would enjoy it without
a hologram if that is what it took.

I would avoid buying a Creech because of the play. I can only spell
FILM so many times before it gets old. It sucks because I love the
looks and sounds of the game, but when I play it a few games is
usually all I can handle. It used to be high on my wanted list, but
now I'm not so sure. I'm afraid I would get bored with it quickly if I
owned it. Oh, and as for the hologram it would be nice to have a green
one, but it wouldn't be a huge issue for me. I am usually too
distracted during multiball to look at it much.
Marshall
I wouldn't buy one even if the hologram was perfect. I had a creech
for about a month and then sold it.....don't miss it at all. If you
have a lot of pins in your collection, then I think it's ok, but if
you have less than 10 in your collection, then I think it's not a good
one. I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I just get bored
with the pin....seems like only four shots in the game and the best
part of the game for me....the spiral ramp is hardly used at all!
Brian
My problem is anything I take into the house will leave someday in a
lot better shape. I like working on them as much as playing them. Its
hard to work on something when you cant get parts.
I did just repair a WPC-95 display board.
(Not mine)
Yes. The fun I hear of with that pin is just a hologram... I can't see
it.
:p
Creech is one of my all time favorites... The artwork, gameplay,
music, speech, etc.
But, in answer to your question, a nice green hologram is important to
me. I feel it is very much a part of the game... My IPB hologram is
absolutely perfect, and I doubt they will all be turning blue.
My 02. worth.
Roger
Curious: have most of the originals started to turn blue yet? (How
uncommon is a green original?)
What keeps green originals green? (Heard sunlight & temperature are
the killer.)
As far as the repros, heard keeping them in the packing bag too long
turns them red.
The movie's trailer is on utube and looks to be PD. That along with
shots of the creature would work well on LED.
I wouldn't not buy it because of the hologram. You don't play the
hologram. Yes, it is nice and neat when it works, but by no means
essential. I play one all the time that shows no hologram. I am so
used to it, I forget it should actually be there. Doesn't detract
from the game play.
Scott
Sure, I would pay less for one without a working hologram, but I
wouldn't say I will not own the game without a working hologram.
I too am curious about this. I picked up a Creature about 3 months
ago. It is an original, bright green hologram. Anything specific
decrease their "green-ness"? A lot of changes in temperature?
Sunlight? Some games I'll leave the playfield up for days if I'm
working on something. With Creature, I always close it back up, put
the glass back on, close the coin door when I finish for an evening,
just don't know if that helps, but at least to me, sure doesn't hurt.

I've had this game for years and I honestly couldn't tell you how
green or blue my hologram is currently which should tell you how
important it is to gameplay. If the damn thing lights up I'm happy,
the hue doesn't mean that much to me. It is a pretty fun game though
in my collection of 18 games, it is one of the ones I play the least.
However I do enjoy having it which is why I'd never sell it.
If I liked the game I'd still buy it without a functioning hologram as
it doesn't interact with the ball at all. Just eye candy IMHO
No, wouldn't matter to me at all. I see a green hologram as a nice to
have item, not a necessity.
