that ass hat Biden had it right during the campaign - the Presidency
is not the place for on the job training
and now you want to saddle us with the health care bill - what a great
job your government did with the flu vaccine, VA care, and all the
rest
remember bud - one of these days those that can produce, and innovate,
and create jobs - won't - and then who will you look to to tax for
your takeover of America and your attempt to make us all dependent on
Daddy Hussein for jobs and medical care and all the rest - just
remember what happened in England - Thatcher said something to the
effect of "what do you do when you have taken all you can from those
that have"
and what a nice wrap up to the economic news - a terrorist attack on
American soil, at an Army base no less - God help us all - and dont
give us any of that crap about "dont jump to conclusions" - the
scumbag was a Muslim, and killed Americans - nuff said, both facts
if that had been a white guy shooting up an Acorn office with a Glen
Beck book in his car, you can damn well bet that conclusions would be
drawn
anyway, you're not MY president and I think that as the polls continue
you wont be the President for much more than a quarter of US
there - *I* feel better now, and I frankly don't give a damn what
anyone else thinks

Obama and Biden did sayunemployment would not exceed 8% if
they hurried and passed his stimulus bill. This is a fact Jack!
I blame Congress, both parties, those dipsh*ts don't have a clue.
Jon
Sucks, but you cant blame this on someone who only has 1 year in
office.. Kinda hard to clean up 2 terms off BULL#*# in 365 days. He
is guilty of being wrong about his stimulus I think though. NOT a good
move.
But Obama has basically pissed away America's future with all this
wasteful socialist spending and deficit nonsense. That money will
have to come from somewhere, and the somewhere is todays younger
generations, and their kids.
Bottom lin, . . all democrats and republicans are idiots.
The only way to get America fixed is to elect leaders willing to be
non affiliated with a party, and non-willing to accept campaign
contributions.
We need someone to commit political suicide. They need to make very
unpopular decisions today, that will benefit the country most over the
long haul. They will never be re-elected, but in the long run they
will be remembered as getting America back on track.
Where can we find such nonselfish individuals willing to put their
country before personal political gain?
Oh well, the point is moot. The media would never give anyone with
such ideals enough coverage to be elected by the ignorant masses.
Good luck America, . . .the clock is ticking.
Joe
How do LED look in an IJ? I was thinking of getting some.

Damn straight. Social Security's gotta go, and Medicare's gotta go, and
corporate farm subsidies gotta go, and...

Jobs are the last thing to improve. Companies won't hire until they
can't meet demand. Republican lawmakers are grandstanding now because
they know this is true, and it makes them look good. Hell companies
won't hire until they can't meet demand even in a -good- economy. Do
you think they're going to do that now?
They know exactly what their doing. It's the voters who don't have a
clue. MattyB
I meant they're, not their.
He is doing the exact same thing, continuing to run and even expand
illegal middle east wars, giving trillions of your
money to banksters, basically taking the nation apart.
He just has a more positive media coverage than Bush did....for now.
He is NOT there to fix things, nor would Mc Cain, Clinton or whoever
else could have won.

Enforce constitutional rights, free people to trade, run business, or
their trade without stupid restriction,
allow people to manufacture and innovate.

Someone who is thinking, and coming up with a scenario that I agree to
be the case.
Sadly, it likely won't happen, there are too many who are either
asleep or keep falling for the same old left/right wing illusion.
People like Homebrood for example make me feel sad, he probably is a
nice, decent guy, and probably knows a lot about pinball, but seems
blinded by bullshit.
Prepare and protect yourself and your family for when the shit really

automatically without them needing to fight to protect it, and be

oh and bottom line is if you are a U.S. citizen this IS YOUR country,
YOUR government and Obama is YOUR president like it or not.
The president, be it Bush or Obama, does not make the laws. The House
and Senate do. The president has influence and set some policies, but
the buck stops at the House and Senate.
We've had a House and Senate controlled by the Democrats for the last 3
years. If you don't like the way things are, I suggest you start by
looking there...
roscoe p. coletrain and shithead aka bush and the marksman vp did

when were we really improving???
Art, I don't know who you are but you're my new hero on this
group!!!..........A week ago Obama said that HIS stimulus plan has
finally started to make inroads to getting the economy back on track
to recovery...With that statement right there he has claimed this
economy as HIS own...He can no longer blame Bush for this economy
after making that statement...It is now HIS!!!!

I do take responsibility for myself and my money and dont really want

As far as voting goes, I have been voting for just over 40 years and

sorry larry but you are not very good at twisting things
it would only make HIS plan HIS attempt at a NEW remedy for the pre
existing economy.

I am just a rude, blunt, politically incorrect guy from upstate NY who
has sold pin and arcade parts for 10 years or so. Being almost 60
gives me some perspective; I dont usually vent like that but obama
saying not to draw conclusions about the Ft Hood Muslim terrorist set
me off.
VERY VERY good point you made about who owns the economy - if barry
wants to take credit for every little glimmer of hope he can damn well
own the unemployment figures - closer to 18% if you count short-hour
workers or those who just plain gave up and stopped looking
Art
Last I checked Bush and his administration started the process and was
printing the money by the billions before he left office.
Unemployment always lags a recovery based on past downturns. The
stock market and spending crashed on Bush's term, not Obama's.

Now, please show where you got the following information?
"Jobs are the last thing to improve. Companies won't hire until they

So, I should buy the kit, or pick out individual LED's?
Don't forget. Obama is also responsible for your tiny, tiny penis.
First point, AMPO is a lobby with an agenda.
Also, read more than page 5. It also says "As emphasized in many
points in the analysis, there is substantial uncertainty around all of
our estimates."
And:
"Among the key lessons from the analysis are:
The recovery plan needs to be large to counter the tremendous job loss
that is likely to occur."
"An aggressive recovery program is important for protecting all
Americans from job loss, but particularly for aiding those groups
disproportionately hurt by the rise in the overall unemployment rate."
"A well designed recovery plan will not only create numerous jobs, but
also many jobs paying
good wages and providing full-time employment."
Mmm. All things that were cited by members of Congress that wanted
the recovery enacted.
As I read it - my opinion - although the chart shows and estimated 8%
with recovery and 10% without, the article is actually advocating a
large recovery plan. The fact the rate with is nearly 10% only means
to me, given the uncertainty cited, that it would be near 12% now
without a recovery plan.
> Now, please show where you got the following information?
> "Jobs are the last thing to improve. Companies won't hire until they...[etc]"
That's an opinion. I've never worked in an industry that staffed up
because they felt like it or hired people only to give them nothing to
do, because would help the economy. It's my opinion that when people
feel it's safe to buy, they'll spend, then companies will hire to meet
demand.
"Description of Straw Man"
"The Straw Man fallacy is committed when a person simply ignores a
person's actual position and substitutes a distorted, exaggerated or
misrepresented version of that position. This sort of "reasoning" has
the following pattern:
1. Person A has position X.
2. Person B presents position Y (which is a distorted version of
X).
3. Person B attacks position Y.
4. Therefore X is false/incorrect/flawed.
This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious because attacking a distorted
version of a position simply does not constitute an attack on the
position itself. One might as well expect an attack on a poor drawing
of a person to hurt the person."
Jon
Calling president Bush a dildoe is just wrong!
Thanks everyone.
Actually I am absolutely amazed that the world did not sink into a major
1930's style depression...both Bush and Obama's governments actions have
somehow stopped what appeared a year ago to be a slide right off a cliff.
I am also amazed that anyone thinks that a depression can be
avoided/stopped without some problems developing, however these are
pipsqueaks compared to the devastation that would have occurred had
these measures not been taken.
Be glad that even if the clowns in Washington/Ottawa/London/Berlin/...
did not do enough (if anything) to avoid the approaching disaster of
2007/8, they did at least launch a recovery that appears to be working...
Remember too that during the depression unemployment almost reached 25%
in 1933 - and that was almost 4 years from the collapse of wall street
in 1929.
This really isn't over yet, however things are not looking the same as
in 1930 either - auto makers and banks are paying back the loans.
It takes five to ten years to return to pre-recession levels in normal
times.

Exactly what I have been trying to say but you wont get the commies
to agree with you.
Had a similar situation with some guy from Jersey named MacGreevie.
Was looking for a STTNG, he said he had one. Sent my payment, and a
week later I received a large palleted box. Opened the box, and
instead of a pinball, I found about 20 cinder blocks, a pair of
assless chaps, and a vibrating banana.
All politicians suck.

Blame who you what for this. I could say it was Clinton and find some
BS economist website post that agrees with that, just like you did for
Bush. The FACT is Obama said (not me) that it was his economy now and
he needed to fix it. (For that, I give him credit.) The other FACTS
are that he missed the mark by a quite a bit on the unemployment rate
and he promised unprecedented transparency.
I hope his projections on heath care are better than the economy.
Sorry your hero sucks at his job.

If you want to see where the jobs went walk into any major store in
America and pick up any shelf item , you can go to Sears , Kohls,
Macy, Wal Mart ,Home Depot , Lowes ETC. and I am not blaming them they
all sell based on where they can get a product , and you will find
Made In China on every item from screws to door knobs to clothing to
pipe fittings and electronics, the fact is our great country does not
make anything anymore it only sells from other lands, Thanks Ron

Ah, political extremists...
Bush was more renowned for looking like a surprised champanzee whenever
being interviewed but it wasn't him that misspelled potato. It was **Al
Gore** the democrat that spelled "Potatoe".
Or is this more rewriting of history?
Oh, well... I guess it depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is.
My personal favorite political quote --
"I experimented with marijuana a time or two, and I didn't like it. I didn't
inhale."
What a whopper! People were actually falling out of their chairs laughing at
this one. And gullible people actually believed this line?
LOL
:)
Dude, who's rewriting history now!? It was Dan Quayle that spelled
"potatoe"! ...I was just using a Bush quote to show how things
haven't changed.

Who knows, but if you start talking about issues instead of calling

Actually, it is because of the relentless ranting and childiish name calling

Actually, I haven't. I've never done a drug in my life...I've never

In 1983 Reagan had been in office 3 years and the UE rate was around
the same. He also had a 750 Billion $ stimulus plan. Can we blame
Carter for that? These threads are retarded. :p
I don't like him either but I'm reasonably sure he doesn't read this forum, you

The economy is in the crapper because of one thing and one thing only.
NAFTA. They warned us about this and we just sat back like sheep and
let the politicians sell out our jobs for thier own "future
considerations". These weasels are buying property in other countries
with thier "future considerations".
No manufacturing means no economy. You say, "If the economy is so bad
then why are the Malls filled with women shopping"? That's because
they are spending their free money that you and I pay for. Aid to
Dependent Children and Welfare. They don't own homes and many are on
Section 8 housing. At $550 per kid, and $200 a month rent you can
live pretty good with 5 kids. Especially here in California. The
silent lobby, K-Mart, WalMart, grocery chain stores, and any other
"consumables suppliers" are behind a lot of the problems we have. All
they care about is the cash flow. Get that government check into our
store!
Because of the surplus of workers employers are now only giving raises
to management. The trickle down is still spiraling. The Government
keeps releasing false propaganda about the recovery. Its fake. Money
basically is poured into road repair jobs and grants to companies that
are not adding jobs, just infrastructure. Here they used the money
for automation, not hiring. They will take the money and use it to
replace workers, not hire them.
What about the graduating high school kids every summer hitting the
job market? That will add to the unemployment figure as well. How
they going to hide that? The retirement and death rate is less than
the influx of bodies to the work force, especially without
manufacturing jobs.
Bottom line: No manufacturing means no jobs, means high unemployement,
means higher crime rate, means no recovery.
Real simple.
