Horizontal DMD line out

Hey guys, I have a DMD w/ the bottom line out. I took it out to take
a look...here's a pic:

I'm wondering if this is cause by the way the 'ribbon' part is
attached to the board...see how it's on an angle, so the very last
lead is barely connected? Nothing looks broken, so that's my only
theory at the moment.

Thoughts?

Looks like it is cracked. Carefully solder it, or put some electrical
conductive epoxy on it. LTG :)

Where do you see the crack? Near the solder pads or near the glass?

Looks like the solder pad right where the ribbon is at the top on the
end.
Auto parts store has the windshield ribbon repair epoxy, all you need
is a tiny bit.

Is the top of the ribbon conductive? Do I just need to put some epoxy
on and be done w/ it? Or do I need to get to a trace under the ribbon?

Buzz it first to see if the connection is actually broken.
You have to get to the ribbon itself, the top is non conductive.
The one I repaired was cut clean through on 3 leads, I put a bit on
each end and stuck it back together.
It is still working.

After the copper paint from the defrost repair kit has dried I like to
put a drop of super glue on top to add strength.

So what's the best way to get under the ribbon? Pry it up and get the
epoxy underneath, or slice thru the top a bit?

I wonder if this DMD was always like this due to the weird way the
ribbon was connected...

To buzz it hold one probe on the pad and take the pointed end and poke
it through the sheath where it is laying on the glass.

Mine was cut so I didn't have to go underneath.
I would probably scrape the top rather than trying to get the stuff
inderneath, if you smear it around you will be screwed.

Does it look like you could wet your iron and push some solder into
the break?

It is hard to see what is going on with a pic, but the fold in the
ribbon does look cockeyed.

Before you work on it, I'd recommend cutting the robbon cable with a
razor-blade to isolate the single broken trace by itself. If you try
and lift, you might pull off the one next to it.
