THE BEST RP MUD You WIll EVER Play

Sounds to good to be true? For other muds of course. Venture into the realm of unlimited experiences and enviroments from audimated quests to immortal quests.

What MUD am a Talking about? DAWN OF TIME (DoT for short).

With 20 races each holding a unique racial skill or talent: and 9 classes to go with them. Over 107 spells and simply a TON of skills to go with them. Complete newbie with RP muds? No problem! There are many Newbie Helpers ready to help you and many other helpful players and Immortals. At Dawn the Immortal staff is AMAZING. (I am not an Immortal at DoT by the way : ) Why waste your time on boring muds where mobs either over spam you with mob programs or just sit their like idiots drooling over themselves. DoT has it all! The realm? UNIQUE  all the way! Basic areas are being ELIMINATED and new inventive and CREATIVE zones are being added. Want coders that actually CODE...? Well I'll be, DoT has that aswell!

If you are still reading this I'll bet your interested and you should be. Here are the sites below. FYI, there is a lot more to say but my fingers are aching.

Uh-oh.

Yes it does sound too (*cough*) good to be true ;)

Enviroments from audimated quests? Do you have a blocked up nose?

Tra-da!!

You must be proud being one!

Oh....ok....if you say so.

> Why waste your time on boring muds where mobs either over spam you

Serious question to the forum, btw. Does anyone in the lp world
refer to monsters as 'mobs'? I've only ever heard it in a Diku/Tiny etc
context?

> with mob programs or just sit their like idiots

Who sit their whats? Can you sit something? Can one refer to
the tasks of getting your dog to sit down as 'to sit my dog'?

> DoT has it all! The realm? UNIQUE all the way!

Cool! So no basic areas, right?

> Basic areas are being ELIMINATED

Ahh.....so not yet then?

> Want coders that actually CODE...? Well I'll be, DoT has that aswell!

How does one judge the quality of code as a player? Seeing as you're
not an immortal there and all?

Actually despite the lampooning above, I did read your ad, and did
have a quick look at the web page.....but...

Oh dear....

It all becomes clear:

Seriously. I was actually going to take a look to see whats what,
but this isn't very inspiring - redirecting to a mangled server.
Always a good idea to check your server before you advertise it ;)
I know that pointing out typos is a little pedantic too, but on
an advert for the 'Best RP Mud You will ever Play', you would expect
a high standard.

I may come and take a peek when the web page is fixed though :)

To have or not have levels is simply a decision of game mechanics. There are
just as many good reasons for having levels as there are good reasons for NOT
having them.

If you do not think levels are realistic, don't get a job ever, don't take a
look at the military, don't look at sports teams, etc, etc. A lot of "real
life" is divided into very "level-like" hierarchies.

Like I said, there are a lot of flaws and downsides to level based systems as
well. But there are plenty of elements of "levels" that are actually quite
realistic. Thus, to say a game with levels is therefore a bad RP mud is about
as valid as saying any mud with elves is not an RP mud.
