When you are staying in the St Clair Ave area you will closer to the heart
of the city. Mississauga is a suburb to the west, and Markham is a suburb
to the NW.
Cheers....

The place you want to go to is Queen St. West. around the area of
the CityTV building, which is West of University St. There are four good
stores in the area:
Official Games Workshop store (self explanatory)
Alternate Gravity (my favorite, supports GW games mostly,
plus some other ones on a lesser scale. Can battle there on their
excellent tables for free, with no stupid "GW only miniatures" restrictions.
Silver Snail (a totally everything store. You can get
some good historical as well as fantasy miniatures and games there)
Grey Region (a smaller version of Silver Snail, also good
support for the non-mainstream games)
Hope this helps, if you have any other questions, feel free to
mail me directly.

Isn't this the store across the street from the evil GW place? I believe
that this place is owned and operated by Logan, the former manager of
the evil place, who was (IMHO, wrongly) sacked by GWHQ...

St. Clair runs east-west the entire width of the city. Any idea where on
St. Clair?

The best supply of miniature wargaming figures in Toronto is at a shop
called Crossed Swords, 722 Annette St. This is located just west of Jane
Street, north of Bloor. They sell Essex, Wargames Foundry, Tin Soldier,
Redoubt and a bunch of other miniature manufactureres. They also have a
pretty good supply of magazines, rule books, etc.
There is a Games Workshop store in Toronto, 331 Queen St. W, about half
way between University and Spadina. Also along Queen Street in that same
area is a number of stores selling SF and Fantasy gaming material.
If there is anything specific you are looking for please e-mail me and I
will advise you on the best place(s) too look.
