I'm torn... I searched through a bunch of white dwarfs and found several
articles describing how to paint skeletons, like; white primer, brown ink
and drybrush with bone, and even white primer, brown ink and drybrush with
bone.
Then I found this great article on the internet
http://www.paintingclinic.com/operations/guestarticles/skeletons6fast.htm he
suggests white primer, brown ink and drybrush with bone.
Do you think that GW will grace us with more revolutionary painting
techniques in the tomb kings codex?

I know from a reliable source that they will unveil their most secret
and sacred heavy metal painting technique. And it will be...
[dramatic pause]
white primer, brown ink and drybrush with bleached bone
How's that for a revolution?

I was thinking of going with a white primer, black ink, brown ink,
drybrush very, very light drybrushing with browns and blues on the
ribcage and top it off with a drybrush och bleached bone. What do you
think about that?

Don't use inks, and do not drybrush either.
Prime black, paint brown, start mixing bleached bone to brown and
begin painting next layer. Iterate the last two steps until the result
is looking well enough, highlight with bleached bone / white if you
really want to.
Do that with all your skellies and get mad (even more).

I got my first batch of skellingtons today, I have a plan to convert
them to go from 20 skellies to 32.
Basically, you get 4 bodies with arms, head and legs. Then you get
2 extra heads (I think) and one arm for each extra head. What I was
thinking of doing was to have all my extra parts assembled in such a
way as to show the skellies clawing their way up from under the
earth. That should be neat!
Field a regiment of 20 with all raised skellies being the ones
clawing up out of the earth, should generate lots of "nice" and
"theme" oohs and aahs, don't you think? :)
