Anybody have any paint schemes they'd like to share? (homemade chapters
only, I know what the damn GW chapters look like)
I want something which will contrast my generally dark Chaos army and the
deep
purple of my Dark Eldar. I was thinking maybe a white/gold type deal -
'Angels of Purity' as a chapter name maybe.

I paint my marines to be basically interchangeable from Chaos to Happy
and back again, so my Chaos marines share a paint scheme with my
Loyalists (and history, etc.) Black, red on the shoulder and knee
pads (and occasionally the gloves). Silver shoulder pad trim for
'special' squads (vets, etc). Instead of gold I use bronze for
imperial eagles, skulls, and so on.

Use your powers for good, not for evil. Well, you
_can_ use them for evil if you want, but it voids
the warranty.
--Original, AFAIK, to me.
Remember RT days where marines used Camo? It looked real, but looked blah.
Remember V2 days where marines spurned camo? It looked good, but was
unrealistic as hell.
My Idea: A combination of the two.
Use the base color of that chapter, then add in appropriate camo marks.
Remember that picture of the Space Wolves ambushers hiding behind the stone
arch? Well imagnie those guys in the usual Grey color, but the camo jags in
black. Done right, it would look cool! Or perhaps a brindled "wolf" look for
them.
Dark Angels with black tiger stripes.
Blood Angels with dark green patches.
Ultramarines with dark grey "Urban Camo"

To contact me, Treat my Address the way GW would...
I designed a chapter that I have stuck with since the earliest Rogue Trader
days, so they have a lot of history (at least at my local store). They are
called the "Dust Devils," and I have built three companies to this point.
I won't bore you with the history, but will get directly to the scheme. The
Dust Devils start with a bright yellow on the feet and legs that fades to an
orange at about mid thigh to waist level. I use an airbrush to get this
effect. The helmets are red, with green eyes. Finally, their insignia is
an Ankh surrounded by a crescent moon.
This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but the right combination
of yellow and orange can be fairly bright, especially with a white
undercoat. Not to mention, I've developed many variant paint schemes (using
the same basic colors) for the Dust Devils, which is cool because it allows
different squads to have different looks.
If you decide to go this route, let me know.
