Since you don't say where you are - Hobby stores or Icecream containers.

Well i am in mid New Jersey , but i was hoping there would be a place
online or a mail order place where i could buy it as all the hobby stores i
know of either don't carry it or are sold out most of the time (the owners
tell me most of the time that is is one of the most popular things they
carry)
Ice cream you say this could be good on many levels.......

Can't help you there.

Well in NZ at least our Ice Cream comes in 2L tubs that are made of
plastic. It's about the same thickness as the common plasticard. A little
bit more flexible but I've never had a problem with that.

Hmm.. Never thought about using these. How well do they take regular plastic
glue and primer? And how much are these in quantity?

Over here in the UK any model shop will stock plasticard, plastic strip and
rod etc.
75p to a quid for an a4 sheet depending on size.
I think clear might be a bit more expensive.
1. Any hobby, model, or craft shop.
2. Cheap. (I got a 1.5'x2' chunk for $2 about a year ago)

Ask them to hold one for you. You might even try prepaying. (If it's that hot
of an item, then they should be able to hold some without worrying about not
being able to resell...)
Try some craft stores too. I know the big chain around here (Michaels) has it.
Hello Chris,
Plastruct is great - I highly recommend their products. I use their
plastic weld to do all my plastic to plastic gluing. I haven't ordered
from them directly off the web, but I'm glad to see they have a web
presence. For the longest time they didn't and I've gotten my supplies
from the local family hobby shop the next town over. I use their plastic
sheeting a sturdy basing for terrain pieces large and small as I don't
like thick bases made out of cardboard, wood, or masonite {particle
board}. Also, THANKS! for the link to applied imagination. Looks cool, I
might well have to email them for some more info. (They need better
pictures of their gaming materials.)
One more thing - seriously - check out the link to rgmw.org in my
sig file below. You'll note that I've added my reply text UNDER your
quoted material. That's generally considered the polite form of
netiquette here. It's a pain in the ass to start reading a reply and
realize you've got to jump down to the bottom, read the quoted text, and
then go back up to the top and reread the new stuff so the conversation
makes sence to anyone that hasn't followed or even gotten the entire
thread on their news server.

#1582. I think they call it Warhammer "40K" because that is how
much you are going to have to make per year in order to play.

Or...
I'm in Toronto, and I found a sheet of about 6"x12" for $8CDN. It was
collecting dust at my local hobby store, and it was the last sheet. I tried
Michaels and Lewiscraft (both chain stores that sell craft supplies), asking
for sheet plastic, rigid polystyrene, plasticard, etc., with no success.
If anyone knows of another product that I can ask for by name, and where I
can find it in the Toronto area, I'd appreciate their advice.
Thanks,
JS.
They're closed for the holidays for a while - but they have good materials
and you should undoubtedly be able to order direct if you can't find it in
a local hobby shop.
Keith's Hobby Shop on Yonge St. up near the Sheppard subway station has
lots of sheet plastic (and many other useful things).

Doh! Thanks for the link. These guys are within driving distance
of where I live, and I've seen their factory many times but it never
occured to me to see if they carry thin plastic sheeting to use for
modeling. I think I'll have to take a drive up there and look over their
products. (The 40 x 72 inch sheets are a bit big - might have to borrow
the pickup truck to fit those in.) Thanks again for the heads up.
