I was wondering if anyone out there that has seen the 3rd. edition can tell
me what these things are? I'm assuming they are some type of heavy weapons
troop because they are under the "heavy support" section, I would appreciate
any further information you could provide.

Its a missile launcher rack that can be bought for dreadnoughts. It
fires 9 strength 4, -1 save missiles. The first one hits and the other 8
scatter. Not very effective, but a lot of fun!

They are heavy weapons CSM units, with numbers and options near
identical to 2nd ed.

Andy.

Thanks for the information. I'm looking forward to playing the new rules, I
think they look very promising from what I have read about them. The only thing
I don't like is the loss of my "themed" Chaos armies. I have a Plague Marine,
Noise Marine and Thousand Sons army which have been relegated to elite status
by the new rules. Playing a themed army wasn't the best way to win with Chaos
under 2nd ed. but it did give the army alot of character. Oh well, maybe in
the codex.....

You mean the codices.
1) chaos (in general)
2) khorne
3) nurgle
4) slaneesh
5) tzeentch
6) hydra (probably not)
7+ all those neutral legions, plus the extra ones needed for placing
marines and deamons in different lists...

Please say it isn't so! First they tell us that everything needed to play
the game is in the box set, then it's everything but some new units, equipment
and specific rules. If they divide Chaos into several codexes it will really
jerk my chain, although I have only heard of one Chaos codex until now.

I have no information what GW is actually planning, but the cover of the
Blood Angels codex is printed in WD (at least the german version of that
magazine).
So GW is likely to print codices for a lot of loyal chapters.
If they treat loyal marines that way then why shouldn't traitor legions
be treated identically?

Hail to you Pacifier!!
Besides I have my own damn chaos chapter: The Eternal Decay!!
We don't need any World Eaters, Thousand Sons, or Death Guard!!!
Emperors Children either... (We have our own Slannesh division. Its where
we send the troublemakers..
Their armor is then refitted with buttflaps. Nuff said..)

"There are no such things as Prisoners. Merely Sacrifices!!!"-Master
Sephiroth, Second in command of the
Eternal Decay chapter before the battle for the capital of Narfindor.

If they truelly phat out those codecies, and make them as good as the new
loyalist codicies then fine I'm all for it, however if they totally Screw
them up by making them the size of the assassins codex I'll be mighty
pissed!
