Any help would be appreciated.
Paint the whole spectacle black. Paint the lenses either a dark or light
grey starting from the middle of the lenses. The grey you choose should be
based on how much light you want to give the impression is hitting the
model. Paint a white or silver dot off centre on one or both of the lenses.

Sweet sounding. I'd start with dark grey, so you don't
have any harsh black on the guy's face. I like the silver
dot off center idea, but white may make it more like glass
and less like a chunk of metal.

I said black to get the framing right. When I first read the heavy metal
tip on painting chips by using black then silver I though it was a crock,
but having tried black then colour for fidgety things it's by far the
easiest approach. Myself I'd paint black, paint the lenses, then line the
frame dark brown.
I don't think white for lenses would be quite right. Glass isn't white it's
translucent so light grey or light blue would look more like glass viewed
from a distance. A patch of white on the face would look a bit funny.
I've found a neat way to make a mirrored look. Paint a bright silver (Mithril?
Can't remember the Citidel color) then paint a very fine black line
horizontally across. Make it irregular, but for glasses, try to paint the same
line on both lenses. Take a watered down green wash and paint the lower half
(under the line) and a watered down blue over the line. Add a bright yellow
spot somewhere. If done carefully, it makes a wonderful mirrored horizon view.
I've done this for my Squat bikers and think it looks fab... :^)

I'm not familiar with the model in question. Is it possible to drill the
lenses out, leaving the frames, and just paint the face underneath?

To email me, you will need to remove the superfluous ".au" from my

If you can't figure out which one that is, I probably don't want to hear
from you.

This sounds REALLY cool. I'm doing it for my squats.
Oh wait, I don't paint *anything*, I forgot.

RTFabio, Don't you know that not painting anything is tantamount to
killing baby Squats?
Where's Clay? He'll set you straight.

Oh, but I have baby squats riding bikes, converted from
dwarves, gobbos, and catachans! Too bad they're unpainted.
