When used neat, it almost entirely takes the shine off transfers /
paintjobs.

I'm gonna do another coat in the morning, see if that completes the job.

Okay, I'm confused. I had heard this was a glaze, which in my mind means a glossy finish, but then you are saying it is Matte?
*Checked website...They say it is a glaze that gives a matte finish...
What gives?

yes. Lahmian Medium is essentially a Matte Medium. The same stuff you can get in an art store in a big bottle. Can be used as a matte sealant.

Ard Coat is Glossy Sealant.
