I'm just starting WH40K and am trying to think of a paint scheme for
my Space Marine Army. The only sure thing is that I want
neon/florecent green to be used in some way. It's my personal color
to create stuff with it seems.

Currently I'm thinking of painting to Marines black with a neon green
Trim, much link the ultramarines, but black for blue and green for
yellow, however I also saw the Sons of Medusa and white looked like it
could make and interesting third color for extra trim, such as pads.
Any thoughts or suggestions, I don't want to go overboard (I haven't
painted miniatures for a very long time in my battletech days) but I
do want the models to at least look good.

Thanks,
Enigma

Paint them in glow-in-the-dark green then challenge your opponent to a
*real* "night battle".

On Marines, two colours is usually the best way to go - basic colour and
trim. A third for the chest eagle, or some similar special part of the
armour, can be used, but beyond that it's usually overkill. Depends on
how the finished model looks, really, and whether or not you like it.
White helmets on black armour might be a pretty good combo.

Of course, I'd be at a disadvantage there because visibility rule
would favor him wouldn't they?

Try scorpion green with thinned down yellow ink.

Now that's an obnoxious color ^_^ I like it

I suggest Black armour, with Green shoulderpad trim, chest eagles, weapon
casings and kneepads with white chapter icons and army badges, and White helmets
for Veteran Sergeants, Veteran squads and command Squads. Perhaps use green for
the eyeslots of the black helmets.

Well you could make them Neon green main parts, black helmets and white
trim but that would look like cack.. I would suggest you try either
black or white maybe grey plating, green trim, and the opposite colour
of the plates for the helmet. ie. black plates, white helmets etc.
Another would be green plates, black trim and white helmets, that might
not look too bad. But you are really limited by the neon green, however
you could always combine it with other greens
