How much ? Even in the price gouging world of GW that seems like a lot of money for a nostalgia fest to me.

Having said which theres an 80% complete set of the original at the mother in laws so might have to "liberate" that.

Cheers

Saw a couple guys playing the original at the FLGS last weekend. Also, asked to play but was late and I was tired.

On pulse though....kickstarter crap. So price gouging already. Hasbro needs to do a crowd-funded game? Really? LOL

well, for companies like that its more to gauge if proper interest for
the game exists. especially because the thing is full of minis and
furniture, which might be difficult to source.

I am more miffed that their release dates outside of the US is basically
maybe in '22

A company needs to test if Hero Quest would draw interest? Really?

yes, because they are a rather conservative brand that deals in
low-cost, high-price crap for the most part. They want high profit
margins. If they get the money from some kickstarter thing they don't
have to deal with the possibility of not making back their investment.
If they just make back their investment or of the profit is not high
enough they still might drop it. Just like movies nowadays are
considered failures if they only made more than what the company spent
on them instead of breaking the box office.

Except, They aren't making back any investment. The investment is being paid for by the backers. I've seen tons of games that just fall out and people have thrown money at them. They get nothing and the Kickstarter gets cash. Seems as bad as the days of selling fake stocks in railroad companies then next week *poof* they are gone.
