Hi,

I've recently started playing WH40K (my new addiction) and I was
wondering can the bits and pieces of the SMs' be bought separately?
The reason is that I'm looking for additional arms and backpacks with
bannerpoles on them. Thanks in advance!

Ciao!

You'll need to check the GW website at www.games-workshop.com and look in the
on-line store. Either that or get the 1999 Citadel Miniatures Annual.

[1998 Catalogue]

Older-style arms can be found on the Marine Arm Sprue (101789), with 12
arms. This is the one that was used to go with the metal bodies. There was
also a Marine Character Backpack Sprue (102532), which had a single pack
with integral moulded pole.

For the newer multipose Marines, the arms can only be purchased on three
sprues: the Bolter Sprue that comes in the boxed set (Sorry - no code...)
which has two arms, a bolter, and two shoulder pads (Three variants of
this sprue exist with different pads, bolters, and arms); the Assault
Marines Weapons Sprue, with a chainsword arm, a bolt pistol arm, two
shoulderpads and a plasma pistol accessory (Two variants - different
hands); and the Marine Accessory Sprue, with, among others, a backpack
banner pole (no pack, just the pole), all the components for a platic
missile launcher, a bolt pistol arm, and a chainsword arm.

Backpacks with banner poles need to be purchased seperately. However
go to a store and look at some of the blisters for Space Marines. They
usually have a whole arm sprue (like 4-6 arm sets) in each one.
