Nice. I'm tempted to ork-ify one......

arms, though ...

yah, i did that with 3 of mine, and i'm not 100% happy with the results
anyways (as anyone who recalls me whining about my sentinel woes last year
will already know). although i gotta say most of the difficulty arises if
you use the metal pattern variant cabs, which are never quite symmetrical
for some reason. it would've been much easier with the basic plastic kit.
Hi Myr. Defiler Autocannon de-chaosed. I couldn't find a matching pair
of AC's that evening to save me life.

Check out Werewolf for Sentinel or T-Rex for Knight Titan basis.

the t-rex one does not appear to be any bigger than the werewolf
one... it would be way too small for a Knight scale walker. a Knight
should be about a third to half the size of a Warhound.

Not by a lot, no. But, the cockpit is distinctly bigger.
The legs look much thicker and the feet wider.
IOW, it looks too big for use as a Sentinel.
The Werewolf just needs a little modding and a chin gun.
You'd end up with 2x DCCW and a BMF Asscannon left over.
And an Armoured Compartment Sentinel for 8 bucks. ;- )

Out of the box, yes. But, there's a method -
Titans have three leg segments while the Rex has two.
So, adding a third, or 'thigh', segment would be required.
And that would give it the height you'd need for a Knight.

According to FW, the Warhound is only 10.5in tall.
Stretching the legs just 2-3in would be relatively easy.
The Autocannon and rocket tubes look usable, too.
Especially for 8 bucks . . .
[shrug] Just an idea.

Basically, they are, as...

Or using the Erik system, three stiffy-lengths...

You should be able to pick them up cheaper, they are Russian
mouldings.
Not last Christmas, or the one before that, but the one before that, a
local(ish) toy shop was going down the tubes. They were knocking out
the big "Robogear" starter sets for (IIRC) 15 or 20 Quid. Two each
Werewolf, Thunder (that's what got my attention - instant Dethcopter),
Tornado/Hurricane (essentially a tracked vehicle with a marginally
smaller version of the Werewolf cab, the Tornado having a brace of
CCWs also), and Spider - unsurprisingly, a small eight-legged walker.
Also 20 troopers, decent paints, not-so-decent brushes, and the big
bonus of a few Hexagon scenery frames. I bought one, and split
another with a friend - he wanted one of each to play with (Robotech
fan), I like units of three. I also shelled out for a T-Rex at half
price.
Roll on to the following Christmas, and Airfix, who were the U.K.
distributor, had followed the toy shop down the pan. The local cheapo
shop has the smaller starter set for a tenner. One each of T-Rex,
Locust, Salamander and Raptor, a dozen troopers, paints and brushes as
before, and one each of those Hexagon frames. I bit.
Christmas Eve, they went down to a fiver, and I had my trio of T-
Rexes. At some point last year, another cheapo shop had the big set
in again, but maybe not quite so cheap - I just walked by...
Raptor mounts a single Trooper figure - I'm thinking of converting one
to a mobile Pulpit for a Heretical Preacher. It and Salamander both
have only spring rockets, otherwise Salamander would do as a stunted
Sentinel.
Locust is another big Walker, taller even than T-Rex. Unfortunately,
it has the same style of cab as the Spider, with chequered/grille
sides which I don't like. Easy answer, toss it and use the Werewolf
Junior cab from the Hurricane/Tornado instead - LOTs of bits are
interchangeable between models in the range. The result, a long-
legged, small bodied walker that has "Light recon" written all over
it. Maybe too much so - I might have to swap the "Big" and "Little"
Werewolfie bodies.

Oh, those troopers. The crew figures posed standing upright are 40mm
sole-of-foot to eye. Troopers 35mm, as they have more active poses.
But it's all in the legs, the torsos are GW sized, maybe a little
narrow in the waist. But I'm thinking those torsos fitted with Pig
Iron Kolonial Rebel gasmask heads and swapped into Catachan figures
would make great Degenerate/Mutant IG...

Hey, could you post some pics with a ruler of some sort or at
least post some measurements of the Torso section of the Kolossus. I'm
wondering if I could use the Kolossus torso with the back end of a
Sentinal body and the Sent Legs. The Kolossus Torso seems a wee bit
small by itself - though I do like the looks of it in your pics.

RGMW FAQ: http://www.rgmw.org
I'm not at home today, but I'll try to remember. However, it is a tad
smaller than a Sentinel cockpit, think more Rogue Trader dreadnought
torso. However, the size difference is only really noticeable next to
a sentinel.
