Inquisitors report:

In March the Regiment and Battlesquad sets will be going up in price to £15,
while the Battleforce and Battalion boxed sets will be going up to £50.
The following products will also be affected, the Space Wolf Long Fang Squad
(£18), Space Marine Devastators (£18), Space Marine Combat Squad (£6), and
Chaos Space Marines (£6).
The prices of our other products will not be affected.
Now is the time to build up those core troops before the price change on the
5th March.

Yup somehow the costs of producing premolded mini's has risen way above the
rate of inflation again and not only that they are trying to sell it as a
way to sell more squads I for one will not be rushing out to save money on
*core troops*, ebay will be getting more bids I think.

Also note it is GW's cash cow ( SM) that is being hit the most again,
thankfully I am expanding my necron force ATM and they are still at release
rice ( though this will predictably rise ).

Don't you love monopolies

of course--with models that are in plastic, and an army that requires
a lower model count, they are going to jack up the prices whenever
possible, and claims fake bs excuses for doing so "re-organizing
pricing structure"--it's simple gouging.

Thats only because they've been screwing Canadians on the exchange rate even
worse than they were/are Americans. I got the BFG magazine today and looked at
the Necron fleet deal. 50 pounds UK, $113 U.S. (FYI...that makes GWUK saying
the exchange rate is 1 pound = 2.26 whereas its actually 1 pound = 1.58). I'm
ordering mine through my friend in the UK. I'm saving $38 U.S. doing it that
route (EVEN with shipping costs).

A fellow at our store assembled a 2000 pt. Dogs of War fantasy army. It's
practically all cavalry. You'd have to spend about $850 to put together
2000 pts of cavalry in GW troops, but he did it for less than $200 using Ral
Partha figures. Nobody has beaten him yet. He wins two or three games
every weekend. His explanation for his success is that since you'd normally
have to be pretty wealthy to field an army of all mounted troops, hardly
anyone has ever done it or faced such an army in Warhammer.

Interestingly enough, they're not even trying to justify this one (at least
according to my local GW manager - his brief, apparently, is "just don't
argue with anyone about it"). Still, totting up every affected set I've
bought in the last three years the increase would cost about £40...
annoying, but not enough to stop me buying stuff. Which is EXACTLY what the
*&^%$£%s are counting one. Oh well...

It's only a monopoly if you insist on playing Warhammer with only GW
figures. If other games and miniatures lines are going unsupported it's only
we, the great gaming public, who are to blame for not looking beyond what is
conveniently provided by GW. May I recommend Stargrunt for a change of
pace...

Single file lines of Zombies one line behind the other to hinder them for a
bit then break out the magic. Failing that my Blood Dragons like a bit of a

Funny you sould say that, when ever i try and play (40K or Fantasy) with any
kind of scenery (try a city battle in 40K) 99% of my oponents whinge that
theres no line of sight and won`t play, now my guard army is geared up for
city and jungle fighting (also night fighting) Chimeras with Flamer turrets,
Thuderer Siege Tanks, Medusas, demolishers, sentinels, which may put people
off going CC, but there only bloody IG

Personaly i like battles on "full" terrain, whilst WHFB needs more open
terrain than 40K due to regiment size ,, id rather play on a cramped city
table, or have my undead marching down the streets of some old world city,
than just plodding out on a nicely kept field somewhere

And on a side note, how the hell do dwarfs get to a battle site?? do they
have some huge verison of the Gyrocopter that carries them all there, or are
all dwarfs pshycic and know theres going to be a battle, outside mordheim in
18 months time, and its time to set off if we don`t want to be late lads??

Resin, £150 my estimate after talking to the guys at FW, they said it would
just over a quarter of the price of the metal GW thunderhawk, but a dam site
lighter and easier to assemble, since the metal one was £400, im assuming
£150

You ain't seen how many zombies I field! :)

Personally I think they fucked up with the zombie rules in the old Vampire
Counts book. It encourages me to have a long line of cannon fodder zombies
in front of my army. I tell you playing against elves has never been so much
fun since adopting this tactic! Fire as much as you want you poncey gits, my
