In roughly 30 minutes, the US' Eastern time zone will be experiencing the
4th of July.

So, to America, Happy 233rd Birthday, and to you American RGMWers, have a
great holiday, and get nice and drunk while you celebrate Washington and his
terrorists overthrowing a legitimate government.

Get nice and drunk and play some 40k

Thank you! However, as a supporter of Cromwell I question the legitimacy of
the redcoat governement. Landed Gentry serving in a national army, indeed.

Thank you sir. I stand guilty as accused as being a far left wing radical
that supports freedom from tyranny.
That tyranny being the far right fascists of the Obama Fist. It's kinda
funny now that being a traditionalist is anti-establishment.

BTW: My spell check didn't recognize Obama and suggested Osama as the
correct spelling. Prescient, no?

Indeed. BTW wasn't Cromwell the one that forced my family to leave Ireland
in the first place?

I know! I always find it amusing when people start complaining
about gun owners and conspiracy theorists. They get all confused when I
point out that our country was FOUNDED by a bunch conspiracy nuts and
gun owners who overthrew their own government. (In all fairness, I do
point out that the 'Merkin Founding Fathers' did try to exhaust all the
'standard legal means' of seeking redress for their ills first at the
time. But when it became obvious that their Government did indeed mean
to defraud them of their rights, then and only then did they seek to
become independant of what they could not repair. They didn't declare
war, they only declared independance.) But it's still funny to watch
the faces of those complaining when they can't think of any suitable
reply to the 'We were founded by conspiracy theorists' comment.

Heh! And this would be different than any other weekend playing
40K because? It's a well known house rule that my Nids get a free
reroll when defending the 'New Castle Brown' objective marker. (The Red
Bull objective marker simply gives them a +2 to their fleet movement
dice roll.)

A Bottle of Dog? Appropriate for 40K, given that it's also known as
"Geordie into Space". Back in the day, it was my favourite Lunatic
Soup...
Golgfag's original regiment nearly ended up wearing black-and-white
striped shirts with a blue-star-on-amber shield pattern.

Unless they're playing away, when they would have to wear an obscene yellow
and orange outfit...... now not even the yanks would wear that kit... sorry,
uniform.

I'll raise a bottle of dog to "Getting shot of the troublesome colonials"

Oh, I really could make a few bottles of Amber disappear... I'm off to
Newcastle for a couple of beers, or ten

(Shakes head) Gentlemen, it is Coors Light or nothing on a day like this: by
the pool, 88 Degrees. And a hot horny woman.
Oh, Vodka is OK as well.

Thanks, and no hard feelings. No matter what you say to your parents
whilst growing up, they are still your Mum and Dad.

If you had a pool, 88 degrees, beer and a hot horny woman, you wouldn't be
anywhere near your PC, now would you?
And if you were, odds are good you'd be in a newsgroup that let you post
pictures.

Just out of interest, while we're on the subject, has anyone NOT posted
here while butt naked ?

Does holding that also give your unit the ability to suddenly teleport
to another objective on a different board altogether, destroying the
one they were on in the process, like the brewers did? :-

Wasn't Cromwell himself landed gentry? Oh, and what colour did the New

i dunno about "conspiracy"-- it was a pretty unequivocal fact that
tax-paying colonists' interests weren't represented in any formal way in the
british government. plus, you'd have been hard put to find many even
slightly middle-class americans who WEREN'T gun owners in 1775 anyways; they
pretty much still had to be, at that point.

Pretty much yeah if no guns we'd been fodder for the injuns and
couldn't kill turkey for the dinner. Besides how else to cull out the
stupid ones than to give them guns and let them shoot each other.
Thinning out the low intelligent ones isn't a bad thing from time to
time

Ah, but our Founders had to form a conspiracy against the crown. It had to
be done in an unusual way, as Machiavelli had observed 200 years earlier: "A
conspiracy must needs be of as few men as possible so that those they
conspire against will have lees (of) the likelihood to perceive of it"
In the particular case of our Founders, they decided to make it public and
forego the possibility of a leak: ergo the Declaration of Independence.
Oh, and just like me and all of my friends, yes, they were armed.
