Looking at the Transfers from a Space Marines box, I see that there
are decals for Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Fists, Templars, Scars, and
Salamanders. Under the Ultramarines tactical Transfers there are
several transfers that I can't identify. Can anyone tell me what
chapter or organization these belong to?

White skull in red triangle
Yellow lightning bolt on black ball
Black skull on white field in black circle
Black lightning bolt on white field in black circle
White wing holding ball
Black lightning bolt over white field in black circle (bolt extends
outside the circle)
White skull

Thanks

Ed

These are all army or campaign badges and don't necessarily represent a
specific chapter. You could use them as chapter badges if you wished I
suppose. In 40K2, these were applied to the right greave and represented
that the force was fighting in one specific campaign or army, so a group of
5 SM players at a games would all use the same army badge to signify that
they were fighting the "Silica IV" campaign (our gaming clubs default 40K
world)

What he said, all army badges..

Though I will add, white skull = vetran... just like arrow up is tactical
four arrows in x is assualt etc... (this is ultra marines of course...)
Goes on the right shoulder pad... Um I think this is in the v3 sm codex
with some other chapter squad markins too....

Um I think the vetran badge needs to be accompanied by a wreath for comman
squads... or something like that, I think the old fluff for the wreath thing
was a battle honour... Can't member off the top of my head...

Adding a skull to the chapter badge shoulder denotes a sergeant. A shoulder pad wreath for the standard bearer. A wreath on the head is an iron halo, i think.

<snip>

They are army or campaign badges, which theoretically should be
painted onto every trooper's uniform, as well as vehicles and other
equipment. They're used for the duration of a military campaign to
identify models and cut down on friendly fire accidents. They go side
on the side of the Space Marine's greaves, one per model. Page 23 of
Codex: Space Marines has a bit more on them. The two lightning bolt on
white symbols are form the second and third Armageddon campaigns, with
the extended bolt being Arm3. I'm not sure about the rest. They're not
required since you may not want your Space Marines attached to any
particular warzone, or they can pretty much be anything you want. One
of the original army badges shown was just a blue circle made from
other transfers and painted over.

Hey cool did not know that. Actually I had a looksie in my codex SM last
night, and a skull is actually the command squad marking for another
chapter, um for Ultra marines it is a wreath for command squads. I think
the Ultra marines vetrans use a sideways aussalt marking, most other
chapters use a badge like a termie honour...
