I read a post on one of the rec.games.miniatures groups earlier this week
that had a great url for painting horses. The technique used oil paints
right over white primer. Anyway I lost my bookmark and the post has expired
of my news server. Does anyone out here have the url? Or would someone
please repost the message to one of the groups...
Thanks in advance,
Justin

I don't know the URL, but the basic technique is to get some stuff called
'Liquin' (in the UK).
This makes oil paints dry in 24 hours.
Undercoat horse white. Mix oil paint and Liquin. Brush over horse and leave
it for about 1 hour,
until it goes tacky. Get a big clean brush, and brush over the horse,
drawing the paint off the highlights
onto the brush. Keep going until you are happy, the white undercoat will
show through the oil paint.
Leave overnight to dry.
