Well, FOUNDRY originated from a merger between WARGAMES FOUNDRY
and GUERNSEY FOUNDRY. I think no-one really knew whether they
were the same company, two different companies, whether one was
a subbranch of the other etc...
For some reason I also always mixed up Ral Pharta and RAFM,
although that problem has been solved now.

I believe a collector with a good nose would never confuse a Ral Pharta figure
with any other.

Well, on your august page, you mentioned the two SimTacs, IIRC. Don't
know the other one, though.
How about:
Raven's Forge / Black Raven Foundry
Raven's Forge / Viking Forge
Raven's Forge / Vulcan's Forge
I have been aksed about not only my (Raven's Forge) figures, but also
about the others. Of course, it didn't help much that I was friends with
the guys who ran Vulcan's Forge (Are you out there scott, paul, dan or
jeff?) & did some conventions in conjunction with them. ;}
Nor does it help that both RF & Black Raven Foundry have websites at Tom
Pope's Website (you know - the guy who does the fireball thing!)

Before GW signed an exclusive contract with armorcast there was a Forge
World models, made a wave serpent based on the epic fig, some other stuff I
forget, now GW in dropping armorcast created their own forge world models,
to do their own stuff.
isn't it ironic, don't you think?

For several years there were two companies called Event Horizon. One was Event
Horizon Publications and the other Event Horizon Publishing. The one that did
the Hong Kong Action Theatre RPG was thankfully bought out by Guardians of
Order, so the confusion can finally end.

Well, The Avalon Hill Game Company had some disagreement with another
firm, I believe it was a law firm, with the name "Avalon Hill" or
something similar. That's why the official short version of the game
company's name was TAHGC, not just AH.

That's one of the sets I was thinking of. Simtac of New England is a
miniatures company. Simtac of Spain makes historical boardgames.

I remember, from your files even, there are two companies called
'Valiant'. One is in the UK and one in the US

Actually, considering that that's where I know this from, maybe I'd
better not ... ^_^

Actually, SSI design house Dreamforge Intertainment was originally Event
Horizon
as well. They mentioned changing their name due to another company being
named Event Horizon.
