Hi all
Next question. Since I am new to this hobby. ARe there any painting services
that you could recommend that does not cost an arm and a leg to paint an ACW
division?

there are a lot of painting services available on several groups and
sometimes people even sell their painting services on Ebay under -
Games-wargame miniatures.I Paint my own figures in 6mm , but I paint
Micro armor and only deploy a few platoons/companies of Infantry in
most of the sceneriosI hve played.However- on Yahoo there are several
groups that are dedicated to painting miniatuers and painters for hire
that you could contact- I recommend the Yahoo group 15mm painters. thay
are a discussion group, but many people there hire out,and they
paint/know reputable painters in all scales,plus they post pictures on
the group pages for you to look at their painting Quality too.
I personally do it myself, as I have the free time to paint and
research the uniforms of all periods I and others are interested in,and
after the initial investment in paints,brushes,magnifiers,reference
books, etc, found out that it really saves more money in the long run
to do the painting myself.it is easy to learn how and after a bit of
practice and experimentation you can become quite expert yourself in no
