The next IF Writer's Forum will be held Saturday, March 28 at 1
PM Pacific Time (4 PM Eastern, 9 PM GMT). Ian Finley, author of
Babel, will be the guest speaker. Babel won the 1997 Xyzzy Award for
Best Story, and placed 2nd in the 1997 IF Competition.

To attend this event you will need to come to IF Mud (telnet to
fovea.retina.net 4000, or point your web
browser at http://fovea.retina.net:4001). Note the different ports.
Just ask around on this list if you have trouble getting to the mud --
there are many people here who are also regulars there.

Once again, please do not talk during the initial interview, which
will probably last 30 to 40 minutes. Emoting is fine, and whispering
is of course always an option. The last part of the session will be
for questions from the floor -- the length of this part is entirely up
to the speaker.

It has been pointed out that both Ian and Lucien were interviewed for
SPAG, so people attending the IF Forum may want to check out these
interviews first. They're at:

ftp://ftp.gmd.de/if-archive/magazines/SPAG/SPAG13

I'll try to ask different questions (not entirely, probably) -- and
you can bring all your questions too, please!

Well, I'm out here trying to access the Mud, but it seems to be down,
sigh. Will keep trying. If we can't get on today we'll have to
postpone interview.

If you know something I don't, please email ASAP!

Thanks
