Nowdays the newsgroups seem mostly dead and I was told that intfiction.org is whare it happens. But I can't seem to be able to join since I never received any confirmation e-mail.

The server was running out of memory frequently over the weekend. This
has been remediated, so it would probably work if you tried again.
