I just stumbled across this new Infocom Collection
that I have never seen advertised. It has all the Infocom
text adventures all on 1 cd rom. The documentation is
also on cd rom and is read by adobe acrobat which
is included on the cd rom. It has all the games
from Lost treasures I and II, leather goddess of phobos,
Journey,Arthur, plus the six never published winners
from the annual text adventure authorship contest.
Its called the Classic Text Adventure Masterpieces of
Infocom. All in all, it has over 30 infocom text adventures
all on one cd rom. When I bought my copy the other day,
they has 2 on the shelf (I bought them both) and have
not seen a copy since. Anyone else know about this,
please leave me some e-mail. Let me know if you have
seen the game in your area also.
Thanks Robert

Uh, that's... interesting. My understanding was that this just entered
beta-testing recently, and was not due to be published for months yet.

Where did you buy it? I'm sure the Activision folks would be...
fascinated to know.

I thought that the folks from Activision said it would be on the shelves
in early July.

That would place this right on the mark.

Could be wrong, though.

It's out already? Yeah, there's been a little bit of (very positive)
discussion about it a week or two ago. What area are you in, and in what
store did you buy it? And more importantly, how much are they charging? :)

The Masterpieces Collection was released just last week. I got a copy for
US$17 at Best Buy. I had to laugh, though, because the older Adventure
Collection was sitting right next to it, priced at $20!
