hey where do i get the patch for nethack--? I had it before but didn't have
the source code. Can't remember where I got it. Thanx

Yes, the files can be found by anonymous FTP to linc.cis.upenn.edu
I think the directory is NH3.1. I am currently running version
3.1.3 on my mac and having no problems.

Any site that archives alt.sources should have it. Alternatively, you
can email me at herb...@53iss6.waterloo.ncr.com and I'll try to
remember to mail it to you.

It was on wuarchive.wustl.edu, but it appears to have vanished.

As far as I know, there has never been a version of NetHack-- built for
the Mac... if you've got a C compiler, and have built NetHack, you can
make NetHack--. It's based on NetHack 3.1.3, though I doubt if I'll
keep it up to date if any more version of NetHack 3.1 are released.

The poster doubted the existence of a NetHack for the Mac. I'm running

Nethack 3.1.3 and Nethack-- are two different things. Nethack-- is a modified
version of 3.1.3.
