Now many assume what they see is exactly what everybody else sees.
Artworks at IGS can look very different from computer to computer.
The graphics card makes a big difference, as well as the monitor.
Without expressly favoring any particular combination of equipment,
one can also note for example how the Macintosh, Linux box, and PC
each display artwork differently, with varying levels for quality.
One's native software applications, for pushing these images, may
also be a big contributor. Effort has been made to adjust images
that obtain optimal representation for all equipment, nonetheless.
Mention of this is made so that if you have a computer of one type,
but don't find it exactly to your liking, then try another computer.
Even if you like what you have currently, then trying another type
of computer could boost the level of appreciation for what you have.
I did not try viewing this print yet on the Amiga, DEC with VAX/VMS,
but on a PC the water looks brown. (I assume this is the original.)
Now I speculate that the water coloration is likened to the land in
order to -highlight- colorful qualities for each of the race boats.
What, specifically, in this picture, can identify it as a -chinese-
variety? Hint: look carefully at what is nearby to the Go Board(s).
