out on-topic content, now we have some cretin doing race-baiting trolls
crossposted to racist groups.
A certain thread from a WebTV user on the subject of Jesse Jackson's
activities was cross-posted to:
alt.flame.whites
alt.flame.niggers
alt.politics.white-power
rec.games.frp.misc
rec.games.frp.dnd
Now there is enough garbage on the rgf* groups as it is without bringing
cretins in from elsewhere.
So when you respond to a post, check the groups: line and TRIM IT DOWN
BEFORE RESPONDING. Thank you.

And killfile, killfile, killfile. Killfile the thread, and killfile
the author. If your newsreader doesn't support killfiles, get one that
does. IMHO it's a necessity for reading Usenet.
Currently I have "BATF", "our country" and "texas...@webtv.com"
killfiled, and rgfm is a lot more readable because of it.
Of course, just because other people have killfiles doesn't mean you
should continue to post off-topic. If you believe that a post is
intentionally and wildly off-topic, feel free to drop a line to the
poster's Usenet administrator (usually usenet@whereever or
news@whereever) saying so. Include a copy of the article, _including
headers_. While I haven't done it myself, it is your right. It might
not do much good, but it'll make you feel better. And be polite.

Many more newsgroups than those listed -- he is doing this all over Usenet,
hitting a few flame groups and a few related but irrelevant groups at the
same time, then doing it again with another set of related groups. I've
seen him in the SETI groups and the MP3 groups as well. This is a
wider-scale troll than you can see just from one batch of his messages.

I'm killing about a off topic thread a day in this group by the knee
jerk politico hacks who lurk here (yes, I recognize the same names
over and over again) and for some lame reason, or maybe just a bloated
sense of self worth, they seem to believe we give a rat's ass about
their opinion.
The off topic cross posts are usually dealt with pretty easily, but
sadly, when placed in a NG full of retards who seem to revel in off
topic posts, it only makes a pathetic situation worse.
Thank god for thirty day kill filters.
