Unkillable 2 in GURPS terms, maybe with some level of Regeneration to
speed the return process?

So far it sounds like Duplication at some sufficiently excessive
level.

The dupes not necessarily being loyal sounds like a serious nuisance
limitation on Duplication. Some other limitation may be a better fit,
depending on the details. Temporary Disadvantage: Split Personality
perhaps.

Same as above, only built as an Affliction.
This is probably going to get incredibly expensive, but then that's
what super villains are for.

This is exactly what Duplication does.
Since it's a device working the miracle it can be modelled as tech or
magic, sidestepping the point cost issue entirely of course (unless
you want it as Signature Gear).

In that case, it's either Duplication with Gadget and other
limitations, or else you just have to come up with a $ price for the
thing and calculate its Signature Gear cost.

I've played such a character before, in fact. It winds up not being a
game balance problem because that's 150 points[1] you're not spending on
super-move or shooting laser beams from your eyes.
So yeah, you can't be killed, but you're giving up a lot of potential
cool powers in order to definitively prevent something that might happen
twice or three times in a campaign. It might be unbalanced in terms of
some abstract concept of "effectiveness," but as far as screen time
goes, it's a major sacrifice.

That's a Gadget, not Signature Gear.
If somebody has a power like that, wouldn't the player tend to push
things to make death for that character more frequent? Taking big risks
to do relatively mundane things? E.g. enter the containment chamber to
heroically fix the radioactive steam leak?
In my experience, yeah. At a convention I once played in an event where
we were a group of goofy wizard associates and one guy was a skeleton.
He was quite destructible but the wizard just reanimated him when he got
smashed. Several of my friends also played the same event and sometimes
the player would get into the whole "smash me and I'll just get up"
thing and had a lot of fun and were very active. Others just didn't
seem to get it and played him as the otherwise wimpy character he was.
