I was looking through a Wizards Spell Compendium recently, and I saw some
spells only available to a class called "paramander." (i.e. Azure Flame,
Cache) If anyone has information on this interesting-looking class, could
they please email me?

p.s. "cache" has a very interesting origin :) ... lemme just say that the
original spell name was "stash" :)

p.p.s. what the HELL is this compendium, who stole my spells, and WHERE did you
find it?

Found in Dragon 106. A plethora of paladins.

It may be hard to get this issue, but I believe that someone (don't know the
web page myself), has put the whole article online. Perhaps someone will
know the webpage and let you know.

Hope that this helps,
Silvanus

-It is a specialty paladin whose alignment is true neutral. It can be
found in an article entitles "A Plethora of Paladins" in (IIRC) Dragon
#108. A great article. My group ended up with a Lyan and a Myrikhan in
the party. Hope it helps.

This was a true neutral paladin class created in Dragon Magazine (somewhere in
the low 100s).

ah. all is now clear. if it was TSR, it's not stealing; they paid for it.

HA! so a couple of those spells lived past the DRAGON article? i gotta go get
this compendium, just for a big self-ego-stroke :)

The Wizard's Spell Compendium is a 4-volume set published by TSR containing
2nd ed. versions of [almost] every spell they've ever published. It's in
the same vein as the Encyclopedia Magica & the forthcoming Priest's Spell
Compendium. [Vols. 1-2 are out; vol. 4 to be published in September, IIRC.]
Both Azure Flame & Cache are listed as "Updated from Dragon magazine", and
thus are probably not "stolen", but rather bought. Unless TSR used
contracts back then that state otherwise.
