My brother tells me that he has read that TSR has made the last, never
released Greyhawk module "Ivid the Undying" available in the download
section of America Online. Since neither of us has access to AOL, I was
wondering if someone who does might be willing to post it to this
newsgroup. I suspect my brother is probably not the only person who would
like to see this.

Thanks.

I would also like to see this information. I love the new post-war
Greyhawk material, and I'm angered that it is cancelled. I mean,
I'd pay TSR for the supplement and for Carl's continued work on
Greyhawk .. but alas it's over eh? Well, if anyone has access to IVID
from AOL, then please post it, IF it's legal. Is this the same or different
from the 3 articles that were in dragon mags 204, 206, 208 (or whatever) ?

If this is available, I want a copy as well, and if i can't have one I am
going to cry until I get one.

But seriously, if anyone could mail me a copy or something I would be
eternally grateful.

I downloaded Ivid the Undying and am in the process of formatting it.
When I received it, there was no formatting, not even paragraphing! It
was a mess. I'm reading through it now and formatting it in Word 2.0 for
Windows. The file is over 800KB long so it is taking me a while to do the
formating. From what I've read, it is very good. A great resource.

from _ivid the undying_

You are right. Tha articles appeared in Dragon No.s 204 - 206 -208

The article covered the Isles of the Sea Barons, The Adri Forest, and the Twin
Cities in northern Aerdy...cant remember their names.

Could i also be sent a copy of that Ivid The Undying accessory thingy, as I love
the PostWar Flanaess, and I am trying to but The Marklands and Iuz the Evil
but I ll probably have to settle for borrowing my friends of photocopying some
of it or something.

I can be reached at either of the addresses below:

It may look like it's unformatted, but it actually is. I imported it
into Ami Pro 3.0 by telling it that it was plain Ascii, with a C/R at
the end of the paragraph. Voila! Instant format. WP 6.0 failed to
import it at all, and neither would recognize it as any Word format...

It looks much better when printed two columns wide, though.

Since the subject popped up, I wanted to ask this of everyone who
downloaded a copy of Ivid the Undying: Was your file corrupt, too? For
some reason, PKUnzip 2.04g fruited when I tried to unzip my freshly-
downloaded version. I'd be interested in learning if anyone else had
this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, me too. Not even PKZipFix could do anything for it. Everybody I
know around here (Texas A&M area) who has tried to download it has had
the same problem. In fact, I was surprised to find anyone had an actual
copy of it.

Incidentally, put my name on that list for the complete copy....

Thanks

I was sent a copy and it too was corrupted. I could only get about 30% of
the text to come out, and when it did, there were major holes in it.

Dorin, your problem with the zip might IMHO might be because you are
using an older version of AOL, where I know it used to screw up most
zips that came to us. If you are using a new version of AOL, I don't
know what is going on. Back to the subject of Ivid, I have a good zip
copy of Ivid the Undying from AOL (314k zipped!), and if someone would
tell me exactly where to upload this zip to, I would be glad to,
because I don't currently have the time to E-Mail everyone a uuencoded
version.

Well, I got a copy from AOL and it unzipped fine. There's a string of
garbage at the top and bottom, but otherwise the file seems intact. I
had alot of trouble with AOL, between the really slow modem connection
available here and the tendency to drop the connection in the middle
it took about three or four tries to successfully download it. I'm
not really familiar with AOL (my roommate actually did the downloading
for me, it is his account), so I can't guess where thje problem could
be.

Me too! (Getting an AOL account seems to extreme for someone who doesn't live
in America, doesn't fancy the phone charges and has Internet access anyway!)

> Plus, does anyone has a list of all the post-war Greyhawk products??

This is only a partial list from memory:

From The Ashes (boxed set)
Iuz The Evil (Iuz - Iuz, Horned Soc., Bandit Kingdoms, etc)
The Marklands (Furyondy, Nyrond, Highfolk)
Rary The Traitor (module)
Patriots of Ulek (module) - I don't have this one, could be set during the Wars.
City of Skulls (module)
Dragon, #204, 206 and 208 (various extracts from Ivid The Undying)
Treasures of Greyhawk (adventures, was this pre- or post-Wars?)

Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Grahame.

I have just got a reply from TSR, to quote:

IVID THE UNDYING is an AOL member exclusive for TSR Online, and isn't
available via the Internet. WE may make it available via our upcoming
Web site in the near future.

Rob Repp
Manager, Digital Projects Group
TSR, Inc.

So TSR are screwing the non American role-players who would want things
like this but do not have access to AOL. I intend to moan at TSR for
this. Anyone join me in e-mailing TSR to complain about this. Why do
AOL members get something like this? What gives them the right and not
us?

If I'm not mistaken, TSR gets a small kickback from AOL based on the
amount of time users spend in their area. Therefore, the AOLers are, in
effect, paying TSR for ItU. Anyone that does not have access to AOL
should complain to AOL, not TSR.

Hey, I'd like to get my hands on a copy of ItU, but I won't join AOL to
get it. And I can't use the WWW right now either. It's disappointing,
but TSR has the right to distribute their products in the manner that
they see fit.
