One of the stats on the character sheets in "The Gamers" is called "Gle".

Does anyone know what that could possibly stand for? The wizard has a
high Gle so it presumably has something to do with magic.

Unless the wizard is an elf; then it could be "Glee."

By the way, where can you rent/buy the movie? The Evil Blockbuster
denies having it in stock, except in Canada. Specifically, where can you
get it in the San Francisco Bay Area?

One of the postings at Dead Gentlemen says that it is "guile." A
comment at the end of the movie laments the hours lost to Heroquest (not
sure of the capitalization and spacing), so the stat might come from one
of the systems with that name.

I got my copy from DG's online store, which is the only source I know
about.

It stands for Guile according to one of the commentary tracks on the DVD...

I've played/run some games where the stats include Agility as well as Dexterity. I suspect it means "Agility" badly spelled.

Ah, The Gamers; one of the few movies about D&D* that actually
captures the essence of the game without too much cringe, although its
low production values work against it. Still, a fun watch and
definitely worth watching if you have never seen it.

I vaguely recall an article or post from one of the movie creators
that GLE stood for "Guile", although personally I always preferred to
believe it represented "Glee", as in how happy the characters were ;-)

Wow that's a blast from the past, 15 years ago. Ah Bradd & Ron, good times.

I never thought much of The Gamers. It was funny for about 2 seconds. Still more entertaining than any of the other D&D related movies/shows since the cartoon.
