I have DM a group for a couple of years successfully, but I recently let
a new member into the group who is destroying our game with her nudist
tendencies. Sarah seems to think that the only solution to any problem
is to make her character strip naked and run around randomly. Worst
yet, she wears skimpy
out fits and distracts the other players. What should I do?

Wake up, you are asleep at the keyboard. Clean up drool, get some kleenex,
and go to bed.
I'd also look at that slight problem with the moss-green skin, see if it
has anything to do with the ability to regenerate 5hp per round.

What is your real problem? That you're inept at figuring out how to role
play the NPC with a naked woman running around? Or that you don't like the
fact that the player is too sexual for you to deal with? Either way, it
definitely sounds like a personal problem, not a gaming issue.

Have her character accused of being a witch and let the local towns folk burn
her.

I wonder if the character will taste like BBQ chicken?

First, we need to know if these outfits truly are skimpy or the other
gamers are merely idiots. Please send the young lady to me for perusal,
forthwith.

Just keep regenerating 5 hp/round like you are now.

although it isn't 100% clear, you said the problem was with a PC,
meaning it is thecharacter NOT the player...that being the case, how
can she continue ot do this?

If this character were around other poeple in my world, she might find
herself kidnapped and sold into slavery, branded , de-tongued, or even
labotomized :) (sex slaves don't need a sparkling personality) ...
there could be local laws against such indecent exposure...or a barrage
of suitors could assail her...not to mention the reduced AC she
suffers, and vulnerability...suburn, weather exposure (frostbite can
happen quickly like that)...parasites? attract a LOT of humanoid
attention (the only thing better than a cute chick is a naked one) or
if not the lustfull side of things, at least as a snack she doesn't
have to be peeled like the shiny one :)

If you mean the player, she obviously doesn't have the grasp of the
game real well and you should schedule some private tutoring with her
at least once a week, preferably more if you can swing it...and if it
IS the player you're talking about, we can make room for her at our
table I'm sure.

You should get a life and stop posting trolls. And you can stop
wanking your knob off at your idea too.

Might want to reconsider that. At least until you've seen pictures
[anyone else see a "sizeable" woman wearing a chain mail bikini?]

Had a PC do this once in the middle of a game [the player was a freak.]
She caught a load of buckshot in the chest [because both the player and
character kept running their communal mouths while the PC was being held
at gunpoint.] She never did anything like that again and got a new
appreciation for body armor.

Mike, I had a _player_ do this in the middle of a game. Had similar PC
to the one mentioned in the original troll in a game several years ago
(actually I've seen SEVERAL similar characters, but I often game with
strange people. :-) ), and I usually run a 'dress as your character'
game on Hallowe'en. The player showed up in a robe (which I though
fitting, as her character was a mage), but took it off at the first
'in-game' opportunity.

I have never had a more difficult time keeping my mind on the game.

Get hold of a copy of White Dwarf 13, or Best of White Dwarf Articles #1 and
convert the Houri character class to whichever version of D&D you play (if
you don't play 1st Ed.)

There may even be a copy on the web somewhere.

For those that don't know, Houris are a seductress class that get benefits
the fewer clothes they wear. One of my favourite 1st Ed. characters was a
9th level fighter before changing class to Houri... :)

BTW, Rings of Warmth are your best friend!

Not that this will necessarily change things in your game, but it will at
least make her actions appropriately 'in character'...

If you can't find the information elsewhere, email me privately at:

mailto:m...@akira.swinternet.co.uk

and I'll see what I can do about getting the info to you.

Matt

I did something like this once - not personally you understand, I'm not that
weird.

I got bored with normal characters so I made a real nutcase. Whenever it
was her turn to keep watch, she would wander off into the bush, strip off,
and go running around the wilderness with nothing but her weapons and
attempt to kill anyone she came across.

If she killed them, she would gouge out an eyeball, and carve her mark into
their chests. She then took the eyeball back to camp, put her clothes on,
and woke the next watch.

She carried all the eyeballs she collected around with her in a beltpouch.
Strangely enough, she didn't last too long :)

What's the big deal with being nude in game, if it makes sense anyway. My
character found himself nude in the last adventure, after being awoken in
the middle of the night by a fight outside his Inn. In 3e, you can't get
away with taking a round to throw some clothes on like you could in 1e & 2e.
If you waste 20 seconds getting dressed in 3e, you'll miss 4 rounds of
action, unlike the 1 round you would have missed in the older versions of
the game. I wonder if this was an intentional design by WOTC to get more
naked characters running around....Nah!

Thank you to all the folks who replied with whit and humor to my
poste. I though the comment about me being a wanker was a little
tasteless, but then we're all entitled to our personal opinions.
Truthfully, there is no girl named Sarah, but we did have two female
members of our group with a remarkable aptitude for wearing skimpy
clothes and trying to resolving in game situations by de-robing their
PC'c. I believed creating Sarah was better than retelling the fifty
sordid tales our PC's embarked in.
Sincerely, Leo
PS, I thought trolls regenerated 3 hp/ round? (perhaps I did some of my
PC's a favour)
