Let me start off by saying, Jay, I sympathize with you. I have had this
happen to me, I lost 12 dragons and 6 or so modules, plus a CxHB or 2...
The stats on the Beads are in the 2edt DMG, hurl them 30yrds(max) on impact
it explodes doing 5d4 to all w/in 10' rad. Save vs spells, those that make
it are thrown clear, those that fail are trapped within. Captures all w/in
a 10'rad, and lasts 3d4 rounds.
I don't have my UA with me... sorry

A wand of force is ugly. It can do
1) cause shaft of nearly invisible, blue-white energy to spring forth from
the tip. The shaft is 4' and equal to a +5 bastard sword. This use spends
1 charge per turn.
2) Create a wall of force as if cast by a 10th level mage. 1 charge.
3) Create plane of energy that duplicates Bigby's Forceful Hand spell.
The wand user must be a magic-user to use this function, and one of the
Bigby spells must be known to the caster (in his book). 1/2 charge per round.
It can be recharged by a mage of 16th or higher level, or can recharge 1
charge by touching: any Bigby hand/fist spell; Mordenkainen's sword; or a
wall of force.
The beads were answered in another post, so I'll leave it at that.
