At an odd-lot type store/surplus type store I found a first edition fiend
folio for 5 bucks, a 3.5 edition Heroes of Horror (I know I am
misremembering the name...) book for 5 bucks and a 4th edition players
handbook for 9 dollars. I passed on all three...

Hmmm... you have a point. Maybe I will get it if I still can and try my
luck on ebay. This is the Bible Belt so there is a good chance it is still
there.

I've had no locuk with Amazon. They severely undercharge for S&H
and a couple people left baseless negative reviews.

Yep. It has the carbuncle, the flumph and several other critters that
appeared nowhere else.

And as is widely known, the flumph is the greatest monster in the game. :)

I just checked prices on Amazon. The day you suggested doing this I looked
on ebay. It wouldn't be worth my while.

I hear they are quite tasty when impaled on a stick and cooked over an
open fire.

It is simply breathtaking to watch the glee and abandon with which
the liberal media and the Angry Left have been attempting to turn
our military victory in Iraq into a second Vietnam quagmire. Too bad
for them, it's failing.

Well, seeing as they are a sentient species, fully as intelligent as
humans that would be murder, possibly cannibalism depending on how you
define it.

I didn't think it was obvious that they were as intelligent as they
really were.

It is usually obvious that they are as stupid as they really are.
