Hello,
I have problem launching the StarWars Jedi KnightII : Jedi Outcast
game. Installing is no problem, but every time I start the game, there
is nothing but only the black screen and the sound. I installed all
the patches for the game; also, update the new video card to the
latest one but the problem still there. I used the game's option to
check my system to see if it's compatible or if there is any problem
and every thing is fine(passed). I'm running WinXP Pro, AMD 2000+ CPU,
512 RAM, ATI 9700 all in wonder Pro and on board 5.1 (Soyo MB) sound,
and with 40 GIG hardrive. Anyone knows the problem of the game (Why
can't I play it!!) Please help, and let me know.

you might want to check where you got the game from did you buy it of
the stall because if you bought it from somewhere like game you would
have no problem or if you did they would check it for you make sure it
has no scratches on it or are you sure their is nothing wrong wiyh
your telly or it could be second hand.

Blank screen at the beginning means you have a problem with the sound
or video drivers 99% of the time. My guess is your machine isn't
playing nicely with the version of Direct-X you have installed.

Run Direct-X diag and if you are not running version 9, ungrade to it.

Also, if that fails, run it under compatability mode as W98. That cleared
up one game for me. The other four - no go. Oh well 4 DOA programs out of
about 50 isn;t so bad for an OS switch.
