What, have all the Ultima junkies fled? There are no comments about
"UltimaForever"?

I mean, it has a whopping TWO classes (Fighter *and* Mage), not to
mention the ever-so-inventive "Lady British".

I'm sure it will be just as much of a success as "Lords of Ultima".

Still, I would have expected some comment on the game. Anyone actually
sign up for the beta?

Never heard of Ultima Forever. Will have to go find out what it even is.

It's a free-to-play MMORPG being developed by Bioware (well, Bioware
Mythic).

It looks like its going to be more action-RPG (e.g., Diablo) than
proper RPG. The character designs look cartoony, like something out of
Torchlight

It will have only two character classes (Fighter or Mage) and is being
designed for "cross-platform play" on PC and iPad.

You will be doing quests for "Lady British" but at least it will be
set in Britannia.

There's very little information released so far but - aside from the
last (an Ultima game set in Britannia? How novel!) - there's very
little that looks attractive to the die-hard Ultima fan. It looks like
another attempt to cash-in on the brand by EA.

Yeah, I suppose so. I registered and will give it a look when its open. Why
"Lady British"? Did they make some agreement with Garriott not to use "Lord
British"?

Richard Garriot owns the trademark on "Lord British". EA can't use
that name without his authorization. But "Lady British" is just a
pathetic workaround of the problem.
