I received a signed copy when the game was shipped to me directly from the
manufacturer. Later I found out that I was among the very few people who had
a signed copy. Apparently I was among the first few people who placed a
preorder (order before the game even came out.) The signature is on the
front cover book, which is not shown in the generic picture...."
Please check it out on eBay.

What really helps in selling something like this, is if you put a URL for us
to go to:) Just go to your eBay sale page, copy the URL, and paste it onto
a reply to your original post here:)

I have some questions, the answers to which you might want to add to
the listing.
The picture you have is not the dragon edition - it is the regular one.
It is also too small to see the signature, which is really its main
selling point.
The dragon edition is, as you state, much larger but it doesn't have a
front cover book, on which you say the signature resides. Only the
regular editions have that.
You don't mention the poster in the list of contents - that poster was
only included in dragon editions, because it is too big to go in the
regular box.
There were a number of signed regular editions that included Dragon
Edition goodies that were distributed in the Far East and Australia
shortly before Origin went tits up - I'm wondering if this was one of
them?

No, that would be one of the 12 Akalabeths sold by RG while he
worked at Computerland. ;-)

I would like to see a scan of the signature. Without that it makes
this collectible look unfortunately dubious. It is a sad fact that
there are scam artists on eBay. Collectors willing to pay serious money
need a more tangible confirmation of the item's description.
Also, you may not realize this, but your generic picture is lifted
from Telavar's Ultima Collectors Guide. You really should give him
credit for the picture, if not ask his permission to use it.
