The Anti Virtues

As far as I know, there are,

Deceit, Despise, Wrong, Shame, Covetous, Hyloth, Dastard. There is no anti
virtue for Humility except Pride..

I can't be more precise about which virtue and which anti virtue as this
requires a lot of thought as to which is which and I'm half asleep right
now... ;P

The anti Principles are Falsehood, Hatred and Cowardice for Truth, Love and
Courage.

The dungeons are the anti-virtues:
Deceit - Honesty
Despise - Compassion
Destard - Valor
Wrong - Justice
Shame - Honor
Covetous - Sacrifice
Hythloth - Spirituality
(Pride) no dungeon - Humility

The anti-principals were the names of the shadowlords in Ultima 5:
Falsehood - Truth
Hate - Love
Cowardice - Courage

Now there's also the virtues of singularity which the gargoyles practice in
Ultima 6: (I don't know all of these by heart, yet)
Dilgence
Passion
Control
...er... I'll look them up.

Once of these days I'll have all of this on my web page. I'll show you the
codex, the colors, the towns and professions related to the virtues and how
they inter-relate.

IIRC, the anti-virtues are related words to the dungeons:

Honesty / Deception
Compassion / Despise
Valor / (any related word to 'deatard' that would apply?)
Justice / Wrongness

Houstan Dragon's page has several sections describing the various virtues
presented throughout ultima, including Blackthorne's twisting of the virtues,
and the gaurdian's anti-virtues in ultima underworld 2. It can be found at:

Also, if anyone is interested, I'd like to create a "Church of Ultima" webpage,
explaining the virtues further and how they should relate to one's life. No
particular religion is associated with it, and any contributors (monks) are

I don't know of any web page where you could find this, but I can tell you
the opposites of the
virtues and the principles. The virtues are on the left, and their
opposites are on the right of
this chart:

Compassion -- Despise
Honesty -- Deceit
Honor -- Shame
Humility -- Pride
Justice -- Wrong
Sacrifice -- Covetous
Spirituality -- Hythloth
Valor -- Destard

Each of the anti-virtues, save Pride, have dungeons named after them. We
know Pride is the
opposite of Humility because in U4 the Mantra of Humility was the Mantra of
Pride spelled backward.
The principles are thus:

Truth -- Falsehood
Love -- Hatred
Courage -- Cowardice

The Shadowlords embodied the anti-Principles in Ultima V.
