No, but I wish they worked just a bit better.

For instance, I have always been a poison fan in just about anyway you can
deliver it. The new status bars with their blue or green depending on poison
state is something I really like.

It also helps to find out who is attacking you in a crowd.

There seems to be a way to up date the bars when they screw up now, all you
have to do is hit the target with a minor spell that changes the total hit
points a notch and the bars reflect the actual life levels vs a full bar for
something that is 1/2 dead.

Also.. I've noticed they don't update as smoothly as your stat gump.. I was
at 1/2 health and the little bar under my character showed full untill I was
hit again.. hmm..
