Im done - closing 2 accounts and leaving just one for Emma to play on.

She's getting everything on Europa, but I have a few bits on AOL Legends uo
for grabs for anyone who plays there seriously.

I own the Villa inside Wind mountain Trammel, a small tower on East Brit
road Trammel, and 2 large towers next to each other in Yew, Felucca.

I played completely solo on AOL. Never felt the urge to make friends with
the PiMp MastaHs of the shard, so I have no-one in-game to whom I would be
happy to donate it all.

Shout if you need anything. If I have it, its yours.

How do I get onto AOL legends shard anyone? Ive heard of lots of people who
dont use AOL as their ISP and can get onto the shard but I cant, why is
this?

Since I have wanted a nice large tower since I started playing almost 3
years ago, I would gladly take you up on this. However, since I have no
access to the AOL shard, I will sit back and hope that you get to give your
stuff to someone who both really wants it and deserves it. I just hope none
of it goes to an ebayer.

Oh but maaaaaaaate =<

*Hugs Dani and give puppy eyed looks*

Only kidding. But seriously I really wanted to know how to get onto AOL.
Trying to install them as my ISP didnt work because I didnt want to have to
pay them and didnt want them as my ISP.

Id really like to know the mechanism whereby the software detects and
decides whether to allow access to AOL Legends shard though.

I mean you use Cable internet and have access, you dont even use AOL right?

We use AOL too. Every couple of months the AOL Legends shard disappears from
my menu. I have to then log into UO through the AOL service and it appears
again.

Aww brain hurts!

I wish I could solve this one, maybe I really do have to use AOL as my ISP.

No you don't. OSI seems to be going through another round of "What is a
bug/exploit?" fever right now. Having a character on the AOL shard w/o an
AOL account may be a red flag if they get around to making a decision on it.

The Japanese have an expression ~"The nail that sticks its head up gets
pounded back down". This isn't the time to be sticking your head up.

Not that i play on legends but what about people who do and use an isp to
connect to aol, yet it's not their primary account?
They wouldn't show up as an aol member to OSI unless they registered with
there aol name.

I don't want the tower, but if you sell it on ebay I could use a loan ;)

All speculation on my part. I am guessing that AOL replaced Island of
Kemai<sp?> with UO. As IK was solely for the use of AOL members, I think it
is reasonable to assume they expect their flavor of UO to be AOL only in
exactly the same manner as IK was. AOL is, well AOL. Expect them to treat it
as criminal tresspass.

If anything came down, it is likely it would be from AOL end, complaining or
setting the rule ~"You can only login from your AOL account even if you have
multiple ISPs". If AOL puts any pressure on OSI, expect OSI to cave in like
wet tissue paper.

I'm not really an AOL fan, this taints my views more then a little. I mean
they may have a "Welcome all comers! Hope you enjoy our shard!" attitude.
Just that in my view they are draconian money grubbing tight assed
sleezeballs. I won't go into the specifics right now.

Would kinda put a damper on people who want to keep aol for some ungodly
reason but have t use another form of internet connection
