I'm a newbie warrior who is trying to make money by killing rabbits and such
and selling the meat and hides. The problem is this...after I kill
something, I can't use my skinning knife to skin the creature. If I double
click on the corpse all that comes up is a small empty coffin. After five
min. or so the corpse disappears without me getting anything. Any
help(without flames please)would be appreciated.

The trick is to double click on your skinning knife, which will bring
up the crosshairs and the 'What do you want to use this on?' message.

FLAME FLAME FLAME FLAME.

Just kidding. Oops....I meant to say "j/k".

Double click on skinning knife then click on the animal when target appears.

And, if you find a chicken, kill it and sell feathers to other adventurers.
Feathers are valuable to the various Thief Tank Archery Mages running
around.

You skin a chicken the same way you skin anything.

Well, hopefully you've seen the answer (in case you haven't, double click
on your skinning knife, then target the animal)...

One thing to add - if you skin an animal and then decide that you don't
want the fur/hide/whatever, don't just dump it on the ground.
Double-click on the animal until you get that small empty coffin, and drag
the fur/hides/whatever into it.

That way when the animal's body decays, whatever is in that coffin does,
too, instead of just lying around on the ground and causing lag. :)
